--Spoiler Alert---
I wanted to make a thread for those who've read Michelle Rowen's "Bitten and Smitten," because it frankly, it was one of the best novels I've read in awhile. I love to read and on average (before my eye issue) read about 4 books a week ranging from anything like a Buffy novel, to Pride and Prejudice. I thought this novel was very witty and always had me turning the page to find out what happened next... The twist with the supposed "curse" definetly had my jaw dropping! I really liked the character of Sarah, her whiny and witty remarks reminded me a lot of Phoebe Halliwell from "Charmed" as did the photo on the front. The cute Buffy/Angel additions really made me laugh too. Sarah and Amy's disseration on Thierry was one of my favorite moments.. "He's good Angel all the time!!"
I love series books, and the worst part was knowing that the characters were done when the book finished... **hint hint - write a sequel!!** Vampire love stories are some of my favorites, and I enjoy them more when they're more "Buffy" than "Dracula," especially with updated pop culture references.
The part about vampires being such a casual part of society was interesting, plus Amy's "transformation" by the end of the novel. It was almost like if you'd taken characters from "See Jane Date" and placed them in a perfectly normal town with a hidden vampire scene. The characters really grew on me, and were all so different that they blended very nicely together.
Thank you Michelle for writing such an exciting novel, I'm glad you were able to introduce such a creative original work!! I'm very excited to read more of your novels... and I'm hoping for a sequel... because Thierry is just that attractive
