Big Bad Toy Store has the DuLac Cross Replica up for preorder.
The site list it at $144.99, but in their e-mail about it, it said $44.99. It arrives January 2008.
I hope to god it's not $144. I know it's a big prop and gold plated, but still that's a lot more then I can spend on a a one time used item. I was really looking forward to this, but not at that price.

From the prototype I saw at SDCC, this is going to be a real nice prop.
I'm hoping for it to be only $44.99 too.

Why would I want to get my hopes up on another DST Buffy Product that will just be canceled? I'll be shocked if this ever makes it onto the market.

So what's the actual price? $44.99 sounds low, and $144.99 sounds high. I am guessing that the high number is the correct one.

I got an e-mail back. The price is $144. Guess I'm not getting it anytime soon.

The urn was a really significant prop in terms of the show's history, and even it was cancelled.

This will no doubt get cancelled. I can't see it being anywhere near as popular as the urn, and that never happened.

£119.99 at Forbidden Planet due Jan 2008. Too rich for my tastes.

I will have to save some extra money to get this. I definately want this and I agree it would look amazing on the wall. I hope that the BCC gets it up for presell soon and that it wont be cancelled.

Thing is if you save 30 dollars a month for the next 5 months you can afford it and if enough of us pre-order it which you do not get charged for till it ships it will get made

I believe the cross has been cancelled. It was initially solicited in September and we just checked the status of our order. Diamond has cancelled our order of crosses. It's come to a point that if it's not one of the Essence statues or busts, we won't put it on our site for preorder. It's not worth the hassle of returning money on a prop item that we're pretty certain won't get made.

Well, that's a bit disappointing. I was actually thinking about getting the DuLac Cross...

I know they went all out with it, which accounts for the high price tag, but it's just to high for what the prop itself was, and where the fan base is now. I think the whole Mr. Pointy thing proved the lower price tag for an item like that helps it sell. Personally the autograph was just an extra goodie. For the price I still would have bought it 1) because it was more reasonable 2) it didn't have the overly big display base I had no where to put.

I was going to pre-order it until I saw the price. I think 99.00 is plenty enough for a prop replica. 144 is just way too much. Heck I feel 100.00 is too much but, I guess people have to make their moola somewhere.
