Around how much will the Darkest Magicks book cost? & The same with Anyanka's Amulet.
Does Anyone Else Think The Props Are A Little Too Pricey?

I think that they are pretty reasonably priced as far as the BCC goes. The Darkest Magicks Book isn't up yet on the BCC yet. Although Anyanka's Amuletis up for preorder at the BCC and is priced at $31.99. If you think about how much the actual screen used prop used goes for on ebay, the props that resemble those used are remarkably cheap.

At first glance, the props do seem expensive. The reality is that these props are very affordable when compared to props made by Master Replicas, DC Direct, etc.

I think the jewelry is way too pricey. Master Replicas is selling the Aztec Medallion, Jones' Key and Jack's ring for $15 each, yet Factory X sold the cross for $25 and is selling Anyankas Amulet for $40. I just don't don't think it should be that expensive.

At first glance, the props do seem expensive. The reality is that these props are very affordable when compared to props made by Master Replicas, DC Direct, etc. The problem I see there is that the expensive products by the companies you mention are targeted towards demographics which are notorious for buying overpriced limited editions: Star Wars fanatics and comic geeks. Those companies have more generally targeted products which are far cheaper, as Kenobi points out. What's more, there's greater cost and complexity in manufacturing expensive MR type products--a Vampyr Book is what, wood or fiberboard, cloth, paint, and hinges; and yet it costs more than a Master Replicas ForceFX lightsaber full of metal, polycarbonate, electronics with sound chips and motion detection circuits, high-powered LEDs, etc. It's also more expensive to buy a Vampyr book prop replica at retail than to buy an actual book that was part of the Library set, or one of several other minor real props. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the flood of new prop replica products DST is working on. But few of them seem to be priced at a competitive level. The preorder cost for the Urn of Osiris went up $20-$30 when DST took it over from FactoryX, which dropped it from my must-buy list despite the addition of a display case and plaque. It reminds me of the nicely arrayed but overpriced items put out by Icons, which also came with displays and plaques--their prop replicas are very expensive and coveted today, but the company went out of business quickly. I think DST is taking the wrong approach in including frivolous albeit attractive extras which drive up the price. Icons did it, and they're gone. FactoryX did it before their lean years, and they're gone. Accurate replicas without unnecessary extras driving up the price is what would attract me. While fancy cases and plaques will attract some, it will increase prices and drive away others.

Mr. Pointy seems pretty reasonably priced at around $70. I'm hoping Faith's Jackal knife is reasonably priced (around $100), considering Angel's Sword is listed at $200 and the Scythe is listed at $300. I've been wanting a Faith knife but they've been so overpriced on ebay lately. I really wish I had picked up one when they were still going for $50-75.

I like the idea of the display cases, they make me want a lot of the props. Because what am I going to do with a urn, put it on a shelf and let it collect dust and have people be like what's that thing near ur dvds? Now they can just read the plaque. I think the cases make it look more professional and if they didn't come with a case and I really wanted a prop, like I want Faith's knife, I'd probably go out a buy a one for it. But please DST don't make the knife cost a ton, I'll buy it no matter what, but come on give a girl a break; I need my money to buy other Buffy merchandise lol.

I was trying to make them out as well, the pix are kind of blurry where the price/release date info is. Feigenbaum is to be released in March '07 with the price of ?$20 or $30 I think, I can't be too sure. The Faith Knife is to be released in it looks like October '07 and the price is definately triple digits. That;s all that I can make out.

Feigenbaum Looks nothen like the one from the episode. They need to add age to him, I'm sure thats what he looked like when Fred FIRST bought him... 20 years ago... They need to make him look worn out, I'm sure Fred spent nights and days with him, in the mudd, outside, years of play. And it needs to be added to the plushie... And the glasses...

I was thinking the same thing about the rabbit. It's a totally different shape. Not a very good likeness at all.
Is there going to be a mr gordo replica? (not the one in the accessory pack, a proper one?).

The thing about Mr. Gordo is, he was probably just a common off-the-shelf stuffed animal. I wish I knew who manufactured it, since I'd much rather have the real thing than a poor knockoff. The same goes for Feigenbaum, assuming he began as an off-the-shelf stuffed animal which the prop department aged.
As for Faith's knife, I don't understand the point if it's going to have a 3-figure price because you can get a real, original Jackal for $150 or less easily. More importanly, I'm shocked that either Gil Hibben licensed his Jackal design to DST, or that DST is trying to produce an unlicensed copy of it. One of those two must be true, and I'm shocked either way...

It was said that the original sculpter of the Jackal Knife was working closely with DST in a previous post, they wouldn't produce anything without a license.
About Mr. Gordo, I found this at wikipedia:
Mr. Gordo was the name of Buffy Summers' toy pig on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When Buffy returned home, preparing to climb in through her bedroom window, she surprised Angel, her vampire boyfriend, who was waiting for her there, cradling Buffy's plush animal in the crook of his arm. "Spending a little quality time with Mr. Gordo?" Buffy asked. "Who?" Angel replied. "The pig," Buffy clarified.
Mr. Gordo, a Peaches Pig (large), was manufactured by Manhattan Toys, one of their Meekieminks line (and is no longer made).
I just hope that they age Fiegenbaum a little so that he looks like the one on the show.

Fred's Feigenbaum had black rectangular glasses. The prop replica has silver oval glasses.

I don't think Faith's knife is in the triple digits. It looks like it's due out November '07 and to me it seems like it says the price is $54.99, which I really hope is the case.
If someone who actually saw the sign in person could definitively tell us the posted price that'd be awesome.

It looks to me like the knife is in the triple digits. I can't make out the exact amount though.
