I do agree that it is stupid to make a Puppet Spike cuz he was never turned into a Puppet. But maby the creators thought Puppet Angel was lonely or felt a little dumb cuz he was the only puppet... so they decided to make Spike so he wont feel so lonley ... but still hill feel dumb. ... think about what i just said.. do you really want angel to be lonely.. or to have a friend... - tony

I would have liked a plush of Spike, but a nice one, not this ugly old thing. Yeah, I have a feeling that you may be right about Sideshow seeing my puppet and getting the idea from that. Sadly they didn't bother to have a go at creating a charactured likeness to go with him (like I tried to, see below) and so just sticking yellow hair on the Angel puppets head, doesn't a Spikey make I'm afraid. KAL-EL I prefered what you did and if they had done that I would have bought it. I'll be passing on this unless I can pick him up on eBay cheap. By the way Harmony that's a really cute bannar!

I think he looks a lot better there. And look he has his eyebrow scar.

I think he looks a lot better there. And look he has his eyebrow scar. Agreed. It looks like they changed the head a lot to make it more Spike like. I'm still not sure I'll get this. At least with the Angel puppets, they related to a specific episode. But Spike was never a puppet, so I'd have an even harder time explaining him to my friends.

I'm just going to go ahead and quote what sergeiesenin said... Who cares if Spike as a puppet isn't from the show canon like puppet Angel is--none of the characters were ever turned into little plastic or resin toys, but we still buy those. Spike in plush puppet form is really no different from Spike in 6" plastic form or resin bust form. The fact that Puppet Angel was canon is just making people lose sight of that. -CMK

The newer version looks much better as does the scar, the hair and the cheekbones. I think that it would be better if they added the red shirt, unless this supposed to be based on Angel.

I heard a rumor that the Wesley puppet was going to have a removeable nose in which you can store your tea in there.

Come on guys, some people out there will like him. I for one don't think he looks too bad in that new picture. Odd choice? Yep. But not the worst thing I've ever seen.
At least DST are trying to be original. Besides, the final product may turn out pretty good.

Well get used to it, for judging by the info coming out of the toy fair they are going to producing more of them based on other characters.
