I got my Sythe today and I absolutely love it. It is perfect, although the blade isn't sharp at all. I think that if it was sharp it would be more dangerous and all. I have still yet to hang it up next to my sword. I can't wait to hang it up. I can't believe that I finally got it. I think that it was definately worth the wait. I really hope that the still release the rest of the Props. I really want Spikes amulet, Anyas amulet, the Gentlemens Box, the Gem of Amara, and the Urn of Osiris.

I got mine today and, while I'm glad to finally have it, I'm also disappointed in the build quality for an item which retails for $299. For that MSRP it should be perfect--but mine's not. There's a tiny "bubble" imperfection on the chrome-y blade finish which, though small now, could lead to flaking later. The chrome-y finish on the riveted shaft area is very, very thin and almost translucent--it looks blackish/dark gray and not as shiny as the blade. And the flanges where the metal meets the wooden stake are plain blackish/dark grey metal, whereas they should be chrome-y and polished like the blade. I'm worried about corrosion on this exposed, unfinished metal. If I'd paid $299 for this instead of <$100 (thanks to reselling BCC gift certificate exclusive figures) I'd be very peeved. The quality just isn't as it should be for a $299 MSRP item. If it were made by another outfit like United Cutlery instead of FactoryX, quality would've been much higher... Again, I'm glad to have the Scythe, and at the price I paid for it it's great. But the quality doesn't live up to the retail price. It's like the Vampyr book--nice, but poorly finished.

OK, I got this today and I'm so happy! The Slayer's ScytheThis thing is awesome. Are there some imperfections? Sure, but the overall beauty overshadows any of that in my eyes.

Looks like I probably won't be getting the Scythe afterall. I got an email from the eBay seller I preordered it from and he said he won't be carrying it and that he is sending me a refund. Its probably for the best anyway. It was pretty much an impulse buy for me at the time (I had the cash in my paypal account) and I can now use that $200+ elsewhere. Good and bad I guess.

I noticed today that this is on the final shipment. Does everyone think this is worth buying? I'd really love to get it for my Buffy collection but I have a hard time plunking down the $250 or so to get one.

This is definately worth getting and if they sell out without you getting a chance to buy these, you will definately regret it. I have noticed that almost every online supplier has said that after there current stock of Scythes are sold out that there will be no more. Try to find an online store with either Free Shipping or some kind of discount so that you will be spending a little less.
