Weird thing is why is it so hard to get hold of this figure until now? I mean he had a release run of 7,500, where did they all go?! Yeah, people obviously loved it, but I'm amazed more haven't hit the second hand market more often then they do. I can understand it when it comes to short runs like they did with D'Hoffryn, but this...

thats true sue, how odd, but it is a fantastic figure my local store had some, but i never really paid attention, i had only evert brought one Graduation Day Buffy and that was for a custom, so Spike didnt seem important to me. I went back months later, when the Spikes were becoming rare, they had a few for £30- but sadly the day after, when i returned with the money, they were all gone but yeh, i do remember this seller/ bidder. every spike that i had ever seen on eBay, this woman was buying them As for shipping to UK, she claims she doesnt know how to fill in the customs form! How ridiculous is that, what are the Post Office there for? and they must have a website. Customs forms here are a little sticker which you tick, note the price of contents and sign it, thats all Wayne Wayne

The odd thing is if you go back over her feedback records on eBay you'll see she's telling 'porkies' about that. You can clearly see that in the past she has sold things to others abroad.
Maybe she just doesn't want to sell anything that costs too much though, as those other items was just cheap stuff.

. Browncoat - you remember this person buying them? Yeah, i'm sure this person has been mentioned on the board before. She was paying huge amounts for the spikes. She's probably the one who started the whole spike inflation thing to begin with LOL! ;d If that's the case, she should be destroyed

The thing is even a 164 out of 7,500 is a drop in the ocean, is it not.
No, people are obviously hanging on to them for other reason. Her amount wouldn't effect the outcome at all.

But it is weird that it goes for this much these days. Ok, great sculpt and all, but c'mon, insanely high prices we see on ebay!

This is such a bizarre story. I would like to get a day in this womans life recorded for some kind of reality TV. I'm sure it would be really interesting.

I'm just glad I preordered the Sideshow Exclusive edition back when he was announced. I'm still disappointed in his "red" shirt, though.

Yes, it's a shame that.
Cheating as they did by making it short sleeved. It just doesn't look right and of course it means you can't take his Duster off.

Hehe, well you can take the duster off, but he looks "naff" Short sleeves and the wrong shade of red, agh. I'd love to commission someone to, or make myself, a proper red shirt. He's a great doll... er, figure. I only have the original Sideshow Buffy along with this Spike, Vamp Spike, and Drusilla. I've thought about getting Grad Day Buffy and Angel. Maybe someday.

I often see Spike dolls at low prices on eBay France. It's not that difficult to have it at a good price.

She was definitely a factor in the price of the dolls going up to over $300 at one point. I remember that there was a couple of weeks where they went from about $120 a doll to over $300. She was bidding on every auction and willing to go higher and higher. I know that she was bidding against others, and the doll was in high demand, but it was that period and her trying to get every doll on ebay that suddenly made the Spikes cost that much. We had a whole thread about it and many of us were conjecturing about what crazy stuff she was planning with all of her Army of Spikes.

The thing is, there's none so daft as those willing to pay high prices for stuff like that. I know I won't.
I'd love a D'Hoffryn, but at the price he is now..err, no way.

I can't believe I didn't see this thread until now, when all the Spikes have sold. *shakes head in disappointment*
Ugh, I will never own a Human Spike...nor will I ever find a deal as good as this again. I can't get myself to spend over $100 for a Sideshow figure...

Well keep your eyes peeled because she still sells off Spikes from time to time.
She does seem to be slowly raising her prices though as the last one was listed at $69.

I just got my human Spike today from one such auction that someone got for me as a gift. So if you want one keep a look out for it.
