With both Versions of Vampire Darla shipping, the only 2 figures to come out that they have announced are D'Hoffryn from BTVS and "City Of..." Angel from ANGEL. Well who is to be made after this. I am surprised that we haven't seen or heard anything from Sideshow yet as to who is next in either figure line. I'm hoping for a Giles from BTVS and a Cordy from ANGEL. It seems as though they should've announced more figures by now. Last year they had so many figures announced by now. It's saving me money but not having them come out with anything but I was looking forward to more figures from them.

Well, Comic Con is coming up soon and they are sure to announce an exclusive Buffy product for that. I don't think it will be a main character because they wouldn't have any problem selling a large number of Giles so it will most likely be a "monster" character. A lot of people on the Sideshow freaks board are guessing maybe a Vamp Xander for the CC exclusive. And I think they will be announcing a new main character figure soon and I'm betting it will finally be the exlusive Giles!

I'm also surprised that there hasn't been any word on the next few figures. My guess is that the next two will be Cordelia/Giles, and because of the significance of these characters, Sideshow are spending a long time nailing the sculpts and getting them approved. Cordelia will be Season One based and be the next in the Angel line and obviously, Giles will be next in the Buffy line. Although, I'm still holding out for a Doyle figure (And his exclusive being him in Demon Form). I think if Sideshow managed to make the original Angel Gang (Angel/Cordy/Doyle) as the first three 12" Figures, then the line would blossom from the onwards. Here's hoping! (That's my theory anyway More like wishful thinking).

I want it to be Cordelia, hopefully a You're Welcome one, or Welcome to the Hellmouth one, anything really. I don't think we will get a Doyle one, I mean they use face scan things to get the sculpts and I don't think they will have one for him, don't know though.

You're not entirely correct in that assumption.
Ages ago we had a rep from Sideshow post here just before the first Spike was released and he confirmed that yes, that Spike was created by working over a scan by one of their sculptors. That is why I feel the likeness is so strong with that one in particular.
Most of the other characters aren't created via scans (not sure about Gellar though) and that's why I have to say some of their human faced characters can turn out a bit 'hit and miss' sometimes.

I think vamp Xander or Anyanka will be next for the Buffy line. And obviously cordy for the Angel line.

No way, if the line is from Buffy, then that would be cool to have a figure of Sweet. If he's next, I wonder if they will start to make "Once More With Feeling" figures to go with him. It'd be a good way to get a Tara, Anya, Dawn, Buffy, and a new much better Willow figure. I still can't get over how horrible that figure was.
If the figure is from Angel, then it would be cool to have a 12" Figure of Lorne. Plus I think that he would be a nice addition to the Angel figure. As long as Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn and Fred are all planned after that.

I honestly believe they'll do Cordy for the Angel line next b/c she was the only other main character that remained in all episodes (up to season 5, obviously...). She was a crucial part of the show, so she'd be the most likely candidate.
As for Sweet? How sweet!

Expect a 'monster' to be the next one announced. Well, a singing monster atleast I'd love for it to be "Sweet"! If it is, do you think this would be for the CC Exclusive? Edited to add that if it is Lorne I hope it isn't a CC Exclusive because I think he'd sell well enough to both the serious and average collectors because he's so popular a character.

I would say it has to be Sweet. Cant imagine anyone using the word "monster" to describe Lorne...that just seems weird to me.

Sweet? No. Lorne, sure. Sorry, I should have said 'singing friendly demon'. That would be my next guess....But a Cordy, Wes, or even another Spike wouldn't be out of the question.

Lorne? Wow, a bit unexpected, but not unwelcomed at all. I'd love to have a Lorne in 12" Form (it would be so cute!) - but especially one that sings! (Prays for voice chip inside figure ). I'm very curious to find out whether you are correct. Vampire Stake - how do you know all this, or is it just speculation? LMAO. That is some top class punning there.

Thank God...I hope they never make a 12" Sweet...how lame. A 12" Lorne sounds delightful though.

I would like to see cordelia be made for both lines ("you're welcome" for the angel line and maybe a cheerleader for the buffy line). However, i'm hoping Giles is the next character to be made. I think if Sideshow managed to make the original Angel Gang (Angel/Cordy/Doyle) as the first three 12" Figures, then the line would blossom from the onwards. Here's hoping! Agree. I like the idea of making figures in order of when they first appeared on the show.
