Ok, this is purely just my opinion but I think Sideshow is acting like the bully on the block. They make beautiful figures (most of the time) and they know it. Therefore they feel they can charge what they want because they know we are hooked. I got a notice from them telling me that not only are both of my Darlas shipping but both of my Luke Skywalkers are shipping that day too. That's four figures shipping the exact same day. I don't mind about that because it's two different lines and I preordered them so I have to pay for them. What I mind is that I called them to ask if they could combine freight since all 4 are shipping the same day and they told me no. No? So I have to pay almost $36 to ship these out? It would cost far less if they combined them. That's a pretty crappy policy. I'm not very happy right now. Not to mention their figures went from an average price of $40 to an average of $50-$55 plus not combining shipping. That's a bit much. They know you are hooked and they are taking advantage.

I despise their shipping policies. From using the most expensive carrier (for me at least) to not easily combining orders, I gave up on direct ordering from them a long time ago.

The only way to show your disgust is to cancel your order and get it through someone else.

And really I don't think Sideshow is doing it to intentionally piss off their customers. No company wants to run off their loyal customer base with poor customer service.
I would call them back and ask them the logistics of WHY they can't ship them together. If the customer service rep can't answer it, ask to speak to a supervisor and so on.
Before you make a decision that Sideshow doesn't care about their customers find out why their policy is that way.

I don't think they are intentionally trying to tick us off. I think they know that if they lose me as a direct customer no biggee because there is someone right behind me willing to take the figure I would've purchased. No harm, no foul. I asked them and they said that it's not cost effective for their customers. They said it wouldn't save any money for me so they choose not to combine shipping. I know that's a crock.
Aly, I know that's the only way to really prove a point but, well for one, like I said above, it's no skin off their nose if they lose my order because they will sell it to someone else. The second problem is that I really love these figures and I like the exclusives which you can't buy anywhere else. I have every single figure they have put out for Buffy since the very beginning. lol. They have me right where they want me. ;D

Hee. I completely understand. But the cost effective line is bullshit, I'd call them back and ask how is myself paying $40 compared to $20 cost effective for me. Don't let them give you lame excuses.

I'm such a big baby. Believe it or not I called them back and the exact same person who answered earlier answered now. I felt foolish so I just made up some other reason for calling. Maybe I'll try writing them.

The figures may ship from different locations. If not, then I agree that Sideshow should combine shipping.
I've heard that Sideshow's customer service is actually pretty good. Of course, there is always room for improvement.

I'm annoyed that I haven't gotten any shipping notice yet - I'm right next store to you in Massachusetts!! I ordered three Darlas so I'm hoping they are all shipping together. I'd definitely call back and complain about it again, that is really ridiculous and makes no sense at all. I thought they were going to be working on this shipping problem.

Not every thing that sell can all fit together in one box. For example, some of there Premium Monsters SHIP in the box that they actually arrive in. How would they combine shipping with a 12 inch figure? Tape it to the side?
Fact is, they ship the items in a way where they won't get damaged. What would you rather have, 4 figures arrive unhamred, and 4 figurea arrived all smashed up and you save $10?

I usually only have one thing at a time ship from them, so I haven't had this problem yet, but you'd think they could combine all the stuff that's going out at the same time. But I will take one of those Lukes if you don't want 'em, AJmets

Thanx for the offer urbandruid. I put a post up in the buy sell trade section a couple weeks ago because I listed it on ebay for less than the sideshow price. I figured if people want to bid it up great, if not at least I don't feel like a scalper. It did wind up selling for about $113 which is a bargain compared to the ones that are buy it nows for $175 or $200. Still waiting for payment though. The guy has until Friday of this week and then I'm filing a non-paying bidder complaint. Payment was due this past friday and I haven't heard anything from him. If it does go back up, I will surely put up a post letting people know.
