Thanks for the heads up...God forbid Sideshow sent me the email...I only ordered both of them.
Why is Sideshow so random with the emails? I only get some of them...

I think this was in the newest newsletter (well that's where I saw it anyway) and you can view those in your online account

I'm glad that she is coming soon. I ordered both versions. I just hope that they start announcing more figures soon. I mean the only ones so far for this year are the 2 versions of Darla and D'Hoffryn.

It's good to hear that she's on schedule, and I'm very glad that she's coming out soon. I'll be interested to see how she turns out.
Also, now that the Darla (Or technically - Darlas) are being released, there's only one announced figure left. I'm thinking that maybe there'll be an announcement soon about the next figure or two? (Please be Giles, Cordy or Anya/Anyanka!). Maybe Toyfair.

Apparantly there is going to be a new announcement at Toyfair. It just says for 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', but I should think there'll be some news on the Angel line as well.

I was just starting to wonder when this figure would be out, and then I saw the Sideshow newsletter. I'm really excited about this one- I preordered the exclusive in the red outfit. I was tempted to get both, but I couldn't afford that, and I figure the blue will be easier to chase down on eBay if I decide I want both.

I'm going to pass on Darla as I find her rather on the ugly side. I would have prefered a human version, but I know it's easier for them to get a vampface likeness done, so I totally undertstand why they went this route. Maybe they will create another human version for the Angel line.
As to a new Buffy release I do hope it's going to be Giles. I can't bleive that Sideshow have dragged their feet in releasing him this long.

Sadly I ordered a Darla just to complete my collection. Looks like Sideshow will be going the 'only available from us' route for now on. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when they release Cordelia and Giles.

I think you've got it wrong. They are both very limited Sideshow exlclusives...the Red version is limited to only 750 pieces...but the Blue version is even more limited...to only 500 pieces so that is the one that you should've ordered as it will be harder to get. I really only wanted the red one at first but I ordered both just in case since they were so limited and now I'm glad I did because I think it will be nice to have them both.

I ordered blue. Its a shame SS made every retailer pull the red version as I would have nabbed her as well. Oh well, when the line comes to a screeching hault when people get tired of paying $70 for each figure maybe they will change their recent practice

I ordered blue. Its a shame SS made every retailer pull the red version They did? Do you think this would include overseas retailers? The red one is still up for pre-order on the site i usually buy from.

SS made T&ST pull them...I assume others had to follow.

I don't think FP have pulled them, as that's where mine is ordered. Mind you, they got Der Kindestod as well, which was also an SS exclusive.

Sadly I ordered a Darla just to complete my collection. Looks like Sideshow will be going the 'only available from us' route for now on. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when they release Cordelia and Giles. Not exactly, you have to remember that Darla and D'Hoffryn are considered 'lesser' characters. When a Giles and Cordy are released they'll be available like all the other previous figures. Sideshow are doing this so that the Buffy line will stay alive. Lets say they released 5,000 Darla's and the same for D'Hoffryn but only managed to shift less than half of that - now that WOULD harm the line. However, these figures are 'made to order' meaning Sideshow will make enough to satisfy the demand and not lose out by over-producing. If you decide not to buy them from Sideshow then thats fine but don't be dissapointed if you miss out. You never know though somebody might list one on eBay or on here sometime in the future at a more affordable price.

Just so you know Darla's only listed as Coming in the Next 30 Days for the EU Warehouse. Not the US Warehouse.
