I'd love to have a Wes and a Lorne figure, as well as more Spike's and Angel's. Why Spike? The only Spike figure I can think of that would work is Nazi Spike, but that is about it. Anything else would be a waste of a character to make. I agree! That would be awesome! But someone would interpret it as being Anti-Semitic and so that would be off the cards quickly. Frankly, the only Spike I want from this line is a flashback Spike.

Well, the new Elseworld Action figures managed to hide the Soviet Union simbol, so maybe Sideshow could do it with Spike.

All I'm saying is, would you rather a pile of Spike figures, like we've seen in the Buffy line, or would you like some characters that actually had vital roles? I'm with you- i hope the angel license means a diverse range of characters, not just the same ones done to death.

Fine, I give up. Give us Spike. Since his character was such an important part of the Angel universe. We don't need a Cordelia or Fred, no no. And Gunn, screw him! Just give us Spike! WooT! *cough* All I'm saying is, would you rather a pile of Spike figures, like we've seen in the Buffy line, or would you like some characters that actually had vital roles? Dear lord! Why do you think that just by having another version of Spike would stop them making say a Cordy or a Fred.? That doesn't make any sense at all love. Just because you have a strong dislike for his character you shound't let that 'cloud' your reasoning like it appears to be.

There have only been 3 Spike figures in the Buffy line. Which is the same amount as Buffy & Angel. I don't think Sideshow would make a "pile of Spike figures", but if they plan on making a figure of each main cast member, I think they'd make at least one of him. He was in pretty much every episode of Season 5, so that should give him some vital-ness. Plus, companies know that Spike sells.

True there are a lot of Spike figures, just as many as Buffy and Angel. He was a major character in Season 5 of Angel as well as a lot of flashback episodes. As long as he is after all of the main characters and has an outfit that is completely different than his others I am all for a Spike figure from Angel. I mean we should see Cordelia, Wes, Gunn, Fred & Lorne before Spike but I'd still love to see a Spike figure.

I'm all for another Spike as long as it's a normal non-vamp or sneering sculpt. I think he will sell well, since his original Buffy figure goes for high $$$.
I really want to see Cordelia. I think Sideshow should go ahead and release her for the Buffy line, as releasing two Cordelia's within a few months of each other might hurt her sales. Some people might buy either/or rather than both if they are too similar.
I would really like to see a "You're Welcome" Cordelia. Though DST also plans to release this version of the character, I think it would be ideal for a 12" figure too! Excellent episode-specific accessories, an outfit that covers the articultion, and a head sculpt that could be completely sculpted (no rooted hair). I think Sideshow could do better with rooted hair, but so far their track record is pretty poor with rooted hair. I don't want them messing up Cordelia!

Can't say I'm surprised by this news, after all I did report on it months ago! Ahahaha! Another scoop thanks to me. I'll just pat myself on the back for that one.

There have only been 3 Spike figures in the Buffy line. Which is the same amount as Buffy & Angel. And three figures of one character is too many when you consider we don't have even one figure of giles, cordy, anya, tara, dawn, riley etc. Yeah they may do them all in the future, but i'd prefer each character has at least one figure before we get multiples of the same character.

Obviously the Spike figures sell well and that's why Sideshow has done three of them, multiple Buffy's and three Angels. When certain figures are big sellers that helps keep the line going so if they want to do more Spikes and it helps keep the line going I'm all for it. Yes, I still want the other figures that everyone else wants but as long as Sideshow is having great success with the Spikes, Buffys and Angels they are going to keep making them in between other figures.

In my opinion, saying they make a lot of Spikes because he sells well is a lame excuse. Of course he sold good, he was a good sculpt. And of course WIllow sold horribly. She was a horrible sculpt. Any character will sell good as long as the product is good. Just my opinion. But I would be fine without anymore Spikes. At least until we have 3 Willows, 3 Faiths, 3 Xanders, and 3 Anyas. Then make a 4th Spike.

I'm very happy about it although I might need more room soon.
I don't know which figure they'll do first but I hope it won't be Angel since they already made 3 for the Buffy line.
I would love a Cordelia (Pylea Princess would be great...on second thought may be it's not a good idea with all the articulations showing).
Wesley, Lorne, Doyle, Gunn, Illyria, they would all be great and even though I'm not really fond of Demon's (like Der Kindestod and D'Hoffryn from the Buffy line) I would certainly get tempted if they'd do a Skip figure.

So when will they announce a figure? If they're going to be available from the 3rd quarter next year will we see a prototype in the first quarter?

Just want to throw my two cents in here real quick. I'm a huge Amy Acker/Fred/Illyria fan, but I hope Sideshow doesn't make an Illyria. The only way I see it working and looking RIGHT is with a completely sculpted body. It's hard enough as it is to make clothes look good in the 1:6 scale, but to try and tackle something as detailed as Illyria's body suit in that scale is one hell of a task. I'm not saying it can't be done, but I honestly don't think the results will be pleasing. I would much rather have no 12'' Illyria than one that's mediocre at best. But I will be MORE than happy to be proven wrong.

Sideshow has done sculpted bodys in the past, so I expect them to do the same to Illyria. Illyria does not wear clothes, more of a costume/body. If they make her, she will be completly sculpted, its almost a given (and Illyria would prob. be far more popular then a Fred unfortunatley)

They'll probably do Illyria like they did the Creature from the Black Lagoon & the Metala Mutant. I have the Creature & the body suit works great with articulation and looks right.

Since making the cloth outfits is much easier then sculpting the body. But yes, the sculpted body would work so much better then the cloth. Heres hope for real hair!
