I cant believe that the majority of the latest Buffy releases are now on Ebay for $20!!!
The Master Vampire Willow Willow
The other recent ones can be found for as low as $28.
Luckily, I didnt pay the $40-45 for the 2 Willows so I can take advantage of those prices.
I'm just worried now that all the upcoming releases will go so low. I dont mind paying extra for the exclusive Oz cause I want the t-Shirt. But I dont want to pay $30 for a freaking Yearbook (Xander's exclusive accessory).
And I wonder if Der Kindestod will be available cheaper online also. I'm still debating on Vampire Buffy. I wish we could see the Tombstone, so I know if its worth the money.
Do you guys think the prices for the next batch will be as cheap??? I'm counting on Origins Angel not doing well cause he kinda sucks...havent even preordered him. But I seriously might cancel some preorders if I could get Xander and Vampire Buffy for $20 down the road...
Also...what are the chances that we'll get another Willow now that these 2 are dirt cheap?

I can understand where your coming from because it sucks having paid so much more for these. But I also think part of the problem is that Sideshow screwed up by releasing them all at once. Normally one new figure comes out at a time and even if it ends up on Ebay as a new release the prices are usually about the same but because there are so many of them right now people who normally by them as they come out can only buy one or two at the most because that's all they can afford. The PG Buffy exc seems to be selling really well on Ebay with people paying at least $50 - 80 for it. And Vamp Spike seems to be selling really well too.
And another dumb thing is there are already a bunch of pre-sells being listed for Oz, Xander, Vamp Buffy and Origins Angel. I haven't seen anything listed for Der Kindestod at all on Ebay.
I also think that The Master and the Vamp Willow figures didn't sell as good as the other figures and Willow was selling good until people got her and saw that Sideshow screwed her up so all these stores have had a bunch of people cancelling or returning their orders and now they are left with all these figures to try and get rid of.
I'm assuming Sideshow might not do that again when they get a bunch of angry calls from their wholesale buyers about not being able to move this latest bunch of figures because they all came out at once.
The Oz exclusive figure sold out in less than two weeks which is the fastest one as far as I know, so I'm guessing the regular version of Oz will sell out quick too. I'm also guessing Vamp Buffy exclusive may also be a huge hit. Der Kindestod is supposed to be exclusive to the Sideshow website so I don't know what to say about him plus because there is no "regular" version he could end up being really pricey on Ebay. Again, not sure if that will be the case or he won't sell well at all.
And Xander, well, I gues I'd just watch and see how the exclusive version sells and if it sells out quick I'd assume that means he's heavily in demand. And I'm not sure how good Origins Angel will do either. Der Kindestod and OA are coming out next quarter so if you are going to cancel either one of them you may want to do it soon seeing April is the start of the second quarter. Xander and Oz are supposed to be the 3rd quarter and V. Buffy the 4th quarter.

I think a huge part of the prices are determined by how good the final product is. We wouldn't see Willow this cheap this fast if she looked great. In my opinion, you should put off ordering direct if a) you really don't care about the exclusive accessory and b) you're willing to risk paying full price or possibly higher later. Waiting on Spike would have been a big mistake as he goes for well over retail now. For most others it's a bit less now, but if you're willing to take the risk in terms of price, cancel those orders.

I think it might have something to do with how good the final product is but that doesnt explain why The Master was so cheap (because he is amazing) and Faith never went for under $30. And why PG Buffy is doing well. They are both kinda ugly.
Maybe Sideshow just overestimated the demand on these and made too many of the new releases?
I'm keeping my Oz exclusive, I really want that shirt...I hope it fits Willow like it says and isnt a guys Shirt. They might just have it on Oz when they package him...I just want it for Willow.

Not everyone thinks that PG Buffy is ugly. A lot of us who have her really like her. I also think the Master is awesome but maybe for most people they only want the main characters and that's why he didn't sell as well.
And yeah, if Willow had looked like her prototype I don't think we'd be seeing her so cheap on Ebay now. Keep in mind that the exclusives had been sold out on Sideshow and the regular Willows numbers were getting low too and now they have the exclusive up for ordering again so they must've gotten a lot of cancellations and returns on her.
I'm hoping they do realize that she had been selling well when people thought she was going to look better and that they realize there is still a market out there for a version that looks good. I know I'd buy another Willow if they come out with one (as long as it looks like AH that is!).
According to the Sideshow newsletter Der Kindestod, PG Buffy and Vamp Spike are now listed at having less than 200 pieces left. So those are selling good.

The exclusive PG Buffy is now available for a second chance offer on Sideshow too but apparently, Exc. Willow has sold out again. I'm curious to know if that was before or after they put up a new picture of her.

I buy from Sideshow and not a secondary marketplace like Ebay because I want to show support of the line, so that future figures will be made.

May I point out (and yes, I'm a tad bias ) that if you buy from a retailer (online or otherwise), you're also showing your support for the line. If sales for us drops, we tend to buy less cases from Sideshow. They'll notice the decrease in wholesale sales for sure if this continues to happen. pxl

I was referring to secondary markets like Ebay only, I buy from Sideshow for their exclusive versions only. Otherwise I will order from an online retailer.

I just wanted to mention that many eBay sellers are in fact online and/or physical retailers. I just bought several figures from a seller with an eBay store as well as a physical store in Arizona. The best way to keep the line profitable for Sideshow themselves is to buy direct from them, as they're getting the largest amount of your money that way... but if you buy the figures anywhere, you are supporting the line.
Since we're talking about eBay and the secondary market a bit, I think even that helps the line. If there is a vigorous and active amount of secondary market sales, that would keep prices high on these products. Higher prices on older items let people know that they need to get the new ones right away by pre-ordering or buying near release time... otherwise they might have to pay more later. Also, if demand for one character drives the prices way up (like Spike) more people are certain to buy the next version released.
