Sideshow continues to crank out product like nobodies business. While I was gone this week, I got Frank Black, Wai Lin, and tonight's review, Willow from the Buffy line. Willow has her problems. Most of it is her head sculpt, although I think they hit the hair dead on. Too bad the face missed the mark, and it's by so many small things, that it ends up being one large disappointment. Still, she's not as bad as Faith, but certainly not up there with figures like CSM. You can find all the reviews at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading! Michael MWC

Enjoy your reveiws. I got my Willow; I think she sucks but your pictures make her not look so bad. She might look half way decent in the right lighting.

I enjoyed your review and agreed with everything you said. I have to admit this figure is growing on me. Yes, I would've preferred the original prototype and yes this one has something seriously wrong with the face but she is growing on me.
I think because it is Willow and it's not her fault that Sideshow screwed up somehow whether it was the final sculpt or a molding issue I feel a bit bad for her and all the hate she is generating from disappointed buyers. She isn't as bad as the Faith figure but Sideshow should've made sure that every BtVS figure released after that was the best it could be.
I kind of feel that someone in quality control was asleep when the first of these figures rolled across their desk and okayed it without really looking at it. It really does look like the face is deformed and out of sync and that should've been obvious to whoever was in charge of making sure this figure was up to par. Sideshow should make sure this never happens again!

I don't understand you all. For me, this sideshow Willow is well done. The likeness is no perfect, but for me it's Alyson Hannigan. And your pics Michael finally give justice to this figure. I love it ! If my Willow will be like yours, I will be very happy.

FrancislovesBuffy, when you get the figure you will see that the face is out of sync, like it got screwed up in the molding process. People are upset because this shouldn't have happened! Especially to the Willow figure which most people feel is their favorite character or one of their favorite characters. The prototype looked perfect so it's even harder to accept this figure instead.
That said, she has grown on me and I feel affectionate towards the figure now. I don't think she is as bad as Faith and if there hadn't been this apparent molding issue she'd probably be more than acceptable.
I'm glad I didn't return her because that was my first instinct and now that I've had time to get used to her I do like her. Not quite loving her but I do like her. If they hadn't messed up the face she would've been perfect!

Backseams on her stockings? And why doesn't Sideshow scan the actors like every other modern toy company...
