I just got mine today and once you pull the bangs down she's really awsome. Those pics from a couple days back made me certain I would send it back, but she's actually one of the best. The jacket rocks too.

If FP get them from the Euro warehouse then it will be in a month of so, if not they should have them by now.

FP usually get them about 3 weeks after the sideshow direct customers get them. so i'm guessing it'll be a few more weeks before we get ours

Just got mine today and I'm more than pleased! They are great! The sculpt is perfect and looks just like SMG. I just pulled out the two sections of hair that were tucked in and separated them a bit to hang around her face. The regular figure also looks fantastic! The hair is like a golden color, which, imo, looks more like her season 1 color. The pictures don't show how great the regular version looks, the hair is nice and layered to frame aroundher face. I If anyone's interested in seeing pictures from my collection they're at: flickr.com/photos/41894196561@N01/?saved=1

If you like this figure that's cool, but I'm going to break down a few reasons why she doesn't work for me.
She would've looked so much better with a lower hairline. The way she is now, she has a Christina Ricci forehead which hurts the likeness. Beyond that, it's just whether or not you like rooted hair I think. It would be nice if there was some hair on the sides of her head to, but I assume there is a technical reason that no dolls (that I know of) have ever been able to do that. If you can't do that, then don't make the figure at all I say.
A bigger problem is the scale issue of the heads and bodies. All of the heads in this line have been pretty big, especially given their small bodies. It's certainly not too noticeable on most since the bodies are covered with clothing that would look bulky on a normal-sized frame. On the standard PG though, it's noticeable. The body looks too small, and not that great.
I love the superposeability of these figures, but the joints don't look very good. With some tinkering, they could hide them better, but they really were never designed to be shown off like this. In addition, the elbows are far too high on the arm. I'm not sure why this was done, but the forearms are just much longer than they should be (or the upper arm is too short).
Basically I think the biggest problem with this is the body scale. If they want to do pretty figures in dresses, then it's time to make a better looking body and make sure that its scale matches up to the head!

Thanks Prophecy Girl! I played with the hair a bit more. I separated the two front sections and wet them a bit to "tame" them down. The back half, I tucked under her ear and back towards the pony tail. I did that on both sides and it looks like she just has more hair on the side of her head.
I did take another picture but I didn't upload it because you can't really see much of a difference in the pictures. But I really suggest to anyone who has these that it is really easy to play around with the hair. The hair when it is first taken down is too curly. I just wet a couple of my fingers for the first pictures and smoothed it down a bit. I've since wet a comb to try and tame it a bit more and tucked half of it to run under her ears and back towards the ponytail. It makes it look like she has more hair along the side of her head where everyone thinks she looks bald.
I will point out that I also got one of these for my daughter. When we took hers out of the box and started to play with the hair, hers didn't have as much hair to work with. Her figure had about half the amount of the front, curly hair on each side. She liked that better than mine (but I liked the way mine was better. In other words, what I did the second time, splitting the hair up and tucking half around the side of her head, I wouldn't be able to do with my daughter's figure.
DanMan, I do agree that the regular PG with her exposed arms doesn't look so great. I knew that going into it when I bought it but I'm hoping to find a Barbie jacket that looks similar to the exclusives jacket. The rest of the figure is pretty much covered by the dress and you can't really see the knee joints. I do think that Sideshow should make an effort to pick episodes that the character was fully clothed without any arms or legs being exposed in the future.
And I will agree that the regular PGs head looks a little out of proportion but the rest of the figures look great with their outfits. Also, the forehead may look a little large but if you compare it to the picture on the box with SMG, it really isn't off by that much. I just think it is hard trying to capture the look of a real human with a doll, regardless of whether or not it's sculpted or rooted hair. To me, (with the exception of Willow and Faith) Sideshow has done an exceptional job of capturing the look of the person intended. And I think in the case of Willow, that was screwed up in the molding process because of the way the face looks off. The head size, hair and outfit are perfect.
But that's my opinion and I really do love how most of Sideshow's figures have come out. I think all of them (with the exception of Willow) have looked like or better than the prototypes.

Well, the pics posted have made me feel a little bit better about getting these. I should be receiving them on friday, so I can post my official opinions then. But so far she's not so horrible. And I am looking forward to styling their hair to hide the big forehead. Maybe I will use the regular one for my first 12 inch custom. Hehe

I was thinking of doing that too! When I bought these, I thought for sure I'd like the regular edition better but I really love the exclusive version. Now, do I really need two gowned Buffy's?! So I was thinking of trying to make or find an outfit that matches Buffy in OMWF, you know, the red topped outfit! Buffy get's this kind of glazed over stare when she's singing and uses the pool cue and I think this figure matches that expression nicely!

That sounds neat!
I am thinking that I will attempt to do Buffy from "Chosen". I know it has been done to death, but her hairstyle in season 7, and in that episode are great to do since she had long bangs that wisped across her forehead. Plus I like that outfit hehe. Since I can sew, I figure it shouldn't be too hard. *crosses fingers* Here's hoping!

I was debating between the OMWF outfit or the Chosen outfit! I think she'd look great in either one!

Despite having called in last week and cancelling my exclusive order, I received it today (along with the regular edition).
The pictures posted earlier do the figure justice. They are hideous. Humans just do not have a hairline anything near what these dolls have - it's waaay back on her head. It looks freaky.
The worst part is just how different the regular edition looks from the picture on the box. Willow is relatively close in comparison. With Prophecy Girl, the promo pic looks pretty close to SMG. It even has a furrowed brow for emotion. The figure has nothing like that. All detail has been removed.
Dunno what to do with these. I guess I'll probably return 'em. No matter what I do though, I'm done with Sideshow. These are not cheap, they look different that what you order, and look hideous when you get them. No more for me, thanks.

Exc. PG Buffy came today-I like her-OK the hair isnt great-but its not horrible-just kinda bad. I love how they plumped her cheecks and it really helps the likeness. I love her outfit and her shoes are SO cute! (hey I'm a girl I am supposed to think that) and her "feet" joints are not loose at all. My grad Buffy's swivel all around. Can you pop their heads off?? I had an idea-we could put Grad Buffy's head on PG's body and for the MANY of us who dont have a exc. Spike with extra hands-we could change reg. Spike's head and put it on Angel or vamp Spike's body.
