Wow! I'm kind of shocked. It's a great choice and it looks great, but wow. I don't know if I'll be willing to plunk down $40+ for a one-shot villain. Time will tell.

I don't know If I want to spend that for just a monster-of-the-week villain. I might would if it was a big bad, but I don't know about this.

He looks cool! But I don't think I am going to buy it. I would have prefered an UberVamp instead. Now that would be sick!

One thing I find interesting about this board is the large number of requests that there are for season six and seven characters. Not so much in this particular thread, but in others definitely.
I'm certainly not complaining or criticising but it's interesting that so many people here seem to want season six and seven characters when on the whole they seem to be the two least popular ones.
This thread has obviously shown that not everyone will want to fork over for Der Kindestod but the thing is that's the whole reason that Sideshow would make it an exclusive. The demand will obviously be lower but they'll still be able to make some cool characters that wouldn't otherwise get released.
I'm glad that Sideshow have shown such commitment to the 'monsters' because to me at least - in terms of figures - I'm just as interested in them as the scoobs. The DST line is there if you want fifty versions of everyone but only a handful of baddies. The Sideshow lines is here if you want a bit of both worlds.

Not sure about this one...I am not thrilled with the selection of character but he looks great.
I would like to see how deep the collection goes before buying him...what I'm saying is, if the line ends next year and we never get Tara and Cordelia then I will never have a complete collection so a figure like this isnt too important...if the line goes on for years and years and we get everyone we need, then this figure will fit right in and I'll want him badly.
Oh well, I will end up getting it I'm sure...

He looks totally killer ;D I really want him. I always thought he was one of the creepiest villians. I'm curious to know what accessories he'll come with.

I'm not a collector of the Sideshow figures, but this one is quite impressive. They did a great job in capturing the creepiness of Der Kinderstod, and I think it'll add a lot to any collection.

Pertruding Eyes, that makes the figure even cooler. I'm just wondering if the other villians that they are going to do are going to be from one episode. Then again if you think about it Vamp Willow was only in 2 episodes but they made a figure of her. As far as other villians/demons I'd like to see:
Darla/Vampire Variant Drusilla/Vampire Variant Eyghon (Jenny Version) Werewolf The Judge Kakistos Kulak D'Hoffryn Anyanka Vampire Xander Mayor Wilkins Fyarl Giles Adam Dracula Glory Jinx Halfrek Sweet Dark Willow Bringer Turok-Han Caleb The First (Buffy Version)

Mmmm. While there is no denying this figure looks fantastic, I am kind of suprised at the choice. I was thinking it would be dru or darla- or a character who had more of an impact. I will still buy it thou. Wish they'd make a xander, giles and cordelia.

He looks excellent (at least in that one picture). I think he's a great choice for a figure too as he was one of the most memorable demons. Nice little write-up there too. Now if they could only be clear in how many versions there will be, and where they'll be available and at what price!

According to Tomart's , the exclusive will be a 'protruding eyes' version (no thanks!) whilst the regular will be as you've seen in the photos. So, yes, it doesn't look like it's only a site exclusive.
Tomart's has photos of both so if someone could scan them that would be much appreciated...

Great figure but with so many other figures that could've been made I'm surprised with the sudden fascination with Der Kindestod. First the palz now the 12". I would've preferred a Dru or Xander. Something like that. That being said, of course he's still an awesome figure and one I will definately be getting. I'm just surprised at the choice.

I love this figure and yeah it might not be the first choice of many but support the line. Then we will see more Scoobies and things we truly want. Most of the time you can find these for 34.99 pre-order on some of the sites. For the quality and all I think it is truly worth it. I would like to see Xander or Cordy next. Maybe switch off between core to monster each time giving the scupltors time to really put effort into the figures.

I prefer them to release this then releasing a xander that doesn't have likeness do the fact they don't have a scan of nick brendon, so maybe they are waiting to have him for scan?? I mean faith is bad and willow isn't perfect...
