I have said this before and I will say it again. Money speaks louder than words! If you really want a new Fred figure, the best thing you can do is buy the first one and try to get as many others as possible to buy it, no matter how horrific you think it is. From a business point of view, it does not matter how many times you ask for a new Fred, if the first one does not sell, there will be no more Freds. As far as it being "unfair" to only have one Fred and two Illyria's, nothing in life or business is fair. Illyria is more visually appealing and sells better than Fred. Period. I think it is amazing that we even got a Fred figure at all. She is sort of in the same boat as Dawn. A couple years ago they were said to not be possible, yet here they are. Starting an online petion for a new Fred means little or nothing from a business point of view. Can you understand how DST sees it? Why should they make more Fred figures when they can't get rid of the first one, factory error or not? Actually buying a season 3 Fred figure means alot more to DSt than just asking for more to be made. Money speaks louder than words.

I disagree with this, sure in the capitalism world money speaks, but i can't buy that fred just for the hope that other will be appear, it's out of sense, if Illyria already sold well, why we need to buy the horrible season 3 fred, the job is already done with Illyria. And shells was exclusive, so what's the point, if a lot of people sign a petition online, it means that a lot of people want another fred, and the result will be: the money speaks because people will buy her.

I want more Fred's too. If you want to start a petition or whatever, please, go right ahead, but I will not be pushing for a new Fred, Willow, Anya, or anybody else until I get at least one RILEY, GUNN, CONNER, DOYLE, or HARMONY.

I'm hoping for a Deluxe Fred... with great variants... and a Deluxe Illyria...

I don't know why it is that DST chose to put such expression into the figures faces, it doesn't translate too well. Granted, Amy Acker/Fred has a pretty smile but she's not always smiling so when you have a figure with that sort of expression not only does it take away from the likeness, it also makes the figure look unnatural in most positions. There's also the issue of the paintjobs on the face which have been lacking as well. Even though the Illyria figure was beautiful, I found myself having to put definition on the eyes and lips which is crazy because she's no glamorpus and her makeup really isn't too complicated. I don't know why, I have absolutely no clue at all as to why it's always the eyes too. For some reason there's hardly any makeup on the eyes (though actresses always have a lot) and there is pretty much always bags too that I have to file down. All I really want is one good Fred figure dressed in something from season 5 with slightly tan skin (a little blush in the cheeks maybe?), a half smile at most, and that flowy pretty hair she had that season on top. At this point, a whole line of new figures is kinda crazy to ask for but for our devotion to the character and the series and the figure, I think we deserve one good Fred.

I think it's easy to make a new Fred with the body of Dawn or glory and the head of shells illyria or season 3. It won't need a new body or anything, we should try to say that idea to DST.

I think the likeness of the Fred/Illyria's are the best of any of the figures mac or dst have made. I know they are out of scale but I personally don't think it's that bad. Sure if you put them next to Buffy or Willow they don't look good but if you have them with the rest of the Angel line it's not that bad! But if DST makes some more Freds or Illyria I would probably get them but I'm in no hurry (and she is my fav character) to buy them. Maybe the next deluxe line will have an Illyria (she is the only one I wouldn't mind in the deluxe line because I'm not a fan of them) and they will make atleast one more Fred in the regular line. Oh and also I would LOVE a Sideshow 12" Illyria so much!!!!!!

Surely we will see a Deluxe Fred wave....they should be more reasonably sized.
I hope Sideshow get around to her as well.

Surely we will see a Deluxe Fred wave....they should be more reasonably sized. I thought that notion was ridiculous until we saw the Willow deluxes. It shows that the Deluxe line isn't just limited to physical characters, meaning we have the opportunity to get more Freds! I'm relieved because we definitely require some sort of human-sized Fred to mingle amongst the plastic fang gang. Come on, Diamond! Fred is just as important as making Gunn! (considering the one we have does not resemble her at all). Oooh, a Fred/Gunn Deluxe Wave... now that would be good... ;D

As long as the line continues, I am sure we will get a Deluxe Fred. She'll probably come with a removable lab coat.

But body wise....yergh! If fred aint made in the deluxe line I think I will have to cry! Guess theres always my customs to fall back on and just make endless amounts of freds to make up for it!

Can't we get another wave of regular Freds? The current face sculpt is fine, only the scale seems inappropraite. I would LOVE to see a regular line with four more Fred figures and four Gunns. Both chararcters are extremely important to ATS and deserve quality figures. Other posts have suggested a great deal of varient outfits for both figs. Producing unique Freds and Gunns should not be a problem.
I really don't want a deluxe Fred. A deluxe Fred would use the same body configuration used for every other female. Deluxe figures simply can not address the scale issue.

Okay, I just got another Fred to open, and it kinda sucks. (I still love her, but dear God) She is like 1 foot tall, her hair flops up when I tilt her head in the correct position, I was gonna tear off her hair and put Illyria's hair on it, but half of the hair is sculpted on. And to top it off, her face paint is screwed up and looks like she went under some seriously bad plastic surgery. Please DST, give us another line with just Fred. Deluxe, Standard, a bust, anything!!! My Fred is going under surgery soon. I will fix her if it kills me. -John

Dark Stone~
That is a pretty cool Fred, and a nice set-up. Perhaps I'll take a crack at my own Fred if I can get some extra parts together. Willow's body seems like the best choice for Fred. I would much prefer buying a new Fred though...

That Willow body works really well! Do you have any pics of her after the repaint?

No newer pics, as you can see that camera I used was on its last leg. It has died. We burried it in the back yard and had a small service
Back to topic... I thought this was a really fred-esque outfit. I mean, the head is a little big for the body(but so are the new Buffys) and I deffinately think it looks better with a slightly big head, than a really big everything!
