I'm not sure if this has been discussed or if anyone even cares but I have looked at numerous photos of the neck/head point of articulation and i think it looks abit odd. I think it may just be because it is a male figure but I didnt notice on any spikes.. It just looks.. abit high... and idk it just looks odd...
Anyone agree or disagree?

Nah, it is fine in person....but I have seen some of the photos you are referring to and it looks weird, but in person it looks great.

I second that in person it looks just fine - or at least nothing strikes me as looking weird, nor has anyone I've showed them too said "That looks strange", etc, so I think it will probably look okay to you too in person (but I do say "probably" because I'm often amazed at what one person doesn't even register can drive another person crazy!). :-)
Also, I am a big fan of the neck pin/swivel design in all the new figures. It really adds a lot of range of movement allowing for a huge variety of poses and "expressions". Also, customizing is extremely simple for the head swappers (i.e. to get a Human Faced Angel or Spike in their iconic long coats, swapping heads between female figures, etc. It allows articulation to be maintained in most cases where previous styles *may* have resulted in a glued on head. Also, this combined with the soft rubber hair (for the long hair of the female figures anyway) again allows for a wide range of motion and in Illyria's case is especially important as the figure can mimic the standard Illyria "head tilt" - which reminds me of my Kitten when he's trying to figure out what I'm doing - it's so cute! (on my kitty - chilling on Illyria). :-)

The heads look kind of floaty on some of the prototypes, because the final articulation wasn't yet tooled for the ball-joint.

I agree that the head and neck look good in person. Great, in fact.
However, I thought they looked odd when I saw the protypes at SDCC.
I still think that Graduation Day Angel's neck looks odd. I haven't seen him yet in person. What do people think who have seen him?
