IMO it is rude to buy a figure at 15$, and turn around and sell it for 50$. 30$ Sure, but 50$ is a little exstream. Alot of people are doing it to sell figures. I find alot of people over price figures and its a shame people pay that much for figures. I just find over paying for a figure is stupid, that is one of the reasons I will never buy a Triangle Tara. So if you decide to sell any figures, then you will sell them for there retail prices, right?

That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Whoever was lucky enough to get ahold of Darla sees how much she's going for on eBay, meaning obviously someone out there is willing to pay that much for her. If someone bought the figure for $15 and someone is willing to pay $50 for it, it's not that person's fault. Unless it's a friend or something, then there's no reason why you should feel ashamed of expecting the person to pay you the going rate. If I had one I was wanting to sell and for whatever reason went to eBay instead of just selling it to a friend on the forum, you'd better believe I'd be expecting the same amount of money everyone else is getting for them. If 75 years ago you bought a piece of property for a few hundred dollars and you lived there all of this time and in the process, it had become an upscale, industrial area where a person would pay you a HUGE amount of money to sell your property...would you just say "No, that's too much" and sell it to them for the price you bought it for 75 years ago?

www.cornerstorecomics.com still has some for $24. I don't think they're autographed, though. I ordered mine from them yesterday.

I don't think it's rude for people to charge more for a rare figure.
Many people think of figures as investments of a sort, that's why they keep them Mint On Card.
Most attendees traveled a long way to Comic Con. That's airfaire, hotel, admission to the con, having to eat out, etc. You can only carry a certain amount of figures.
I live in San Diego and was going to the con anyway. I only charged people what I paid for the figure and shipping (and for an autograph, if they wanted one).
But I just wanted to do board members a favor. If people want to charge more they can. If no one wants to pay the high prices, then they'll go down.
I was disappointed to find that White Witch Willow was selling so high, but you can always find deals. I've found some good ones.
If you look around, you can usually find a better deal.

It said all pre-orders had been filled and that it was in stock but when I tried to add it to my cart, it kept coming up, "this item not available". Hopefully I'll find one one day, if not, can anybody say "Triangle Tara"?

When I left Saturday from the con, Diamond had a TON of Darlas left...they may infact be offered online fairly soon.

Ok, as for selling Darla on Ebay for $50 here's my take even though no one asked for it. lol. I think to have a starting bid of $50 is very scalperish and sleazy. I have no problem, however, with someone listing it for retail price of $14.99 as a starting bid and then if people want to pay more for it so be it.

Just as a heads up AFX has Vamp darla on thier site. They are selling a set of of the 2 schoolgirl darlas: Red and Blue for $29.99 plus shipping which is actually a pretty good price.

I agree with VampireStake. When I left the con on Sunday at 4 pm, Diamond had stacks and stacks of Darlas left, plus boxes full for signed ones.
I think that Vamp Darlas will show up somewhere very soon.

I went ahead and ordered one from them. It is the best deal I could fine anywhere else. It was $38.94 total and it came with a free regular Schoolgirl Darla is the way I look at it. If I find another for $15 later, I will just get another one to open. At least I have one on the way Now! Hooray for me!

Thanks for the heads up... I might go for that. I still don't have a regular WTTH Darla ( ), and it would be nice to have a red WTTH Darla to keep carded. Though somehow I think DST will be listing them in their store...

Spike, too bad I already sent your vamp Darla, I could have traded it for a signed one for you to keep carded. The one I have for myself is signed, so I'm going to keep it MOC. I'd planned to keep an unsigned one for myself, but I got too many signed ones.
I'm thinking maybe I'll get the $100 gift certificate, then I can sell the signed one to someone.

Does anyone have pics of this figure next to the non-exclusive (human, blue outfit) version?

That's a good price, considering how rare and difficult to find they are.
