Why does everyone want the transformation Willow so much? I get mine some time this week with dopp. Willow and Reg. Willow. But I just don't see the appeal as much as other people I guess. But I think that is fair it is one of the benifits of working at ceartin stores, employees are equally entitled to the merchandise.

Employees are equally entitled to the merchandise. I agree. I would definitely take advantage of being an employee, and grab myself some Willow action figures. Wouldn't you if you had the chance? -CMK

I know Toys R Us doesn't allow that sort of thing. Employees can buy them on their own time, but not snatch them right out of a case, or hide them on the shelves. It seems in this case employees should have been able to order some for themselves, so the store doesn't get screwed over in losing sales. If I were mad enough, I'd complain to a manager about this!

I agree that there should be a few days before employees can snatch them. If someone want them that bad, then they could have gotten them by then.

Man, you guys should try collecting Star Wars or MOTU. This shit happens all the time.
TRU has that policy, but the employees don't stick to it. They put out the case as regular, but keep the more in-demand figures in the case and quickly squirrel back to the stockroom. Bastards.
It's an unfortunate thing for us who don't work retail, but you know if you did, you'd do the same thing. Yay capitalism!

Yeah really, big retailers do have this policy, but its undermined all the time. I think its a good policy - the customers should come first and have first shot at merchandise - that's the whole point of a store. I don't think its an acceptable fringe benefit if you work retail to use your employer as a middle man just resell merchandise.
Its one thing if a collector wants to work retail to get a chance at figures, like say he or she could buy it at the end of the day, but its another thing if a person just takes the merchandise out of a case to put on eBay and sell it at inflated prices. I'd complain - not about a specific employee, but just about the situation where merchandise doesn't get to the customer.

People clearly aren't doing their homework on ebay. You can still order most of these figures at retail prices....but right now there is a trans willow at $41 w/21 hours left and a Dark Witch at $30 w/22 hours left. Madness.
I am looking forward to trans willow. I really like the shirt...and the eyes look groovy.

i cant believe some of the prices the willows are going for on e bay, they have been out, what?? a week or 2 in the us. and 3 weeks over here in the uk, its not like they are gonna dissapear that quickly is it. if i just feel sorry for the people who will pay $40+ for a figure and then prolly see it for $14.99 in there local comic shop, but at the same time i kinda think " HA HA" wow thats so mean. dont waste your time complaining. i work at suncoast and we have no such policy against doing this. i got all three willows for 8.99 as an employee. and NO, i didn't hoard them in the back. these figures were out on the pegs for a day and a half before i came into work a shift and saw them there. and no, i have absolutely no intention of hocking these on eBay. they are far too cool to part with ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) employees are entitled to these figures every bit as much as you are. i'm just as much a collector as you and just as huge a buffy fan and if you don't like it then I suggest you shop in a store where the employees aren't buffy fans. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
