Has DST or MAC officially called the willow releases anything?
Is it really called series 5?
I know it was before it was cancelled but is it still?

That's what MAC always called it. For our own sake, I'd like to keep it that way. Series V was split into two phases by MAC. Phase 1 was all the Willow figures. Phase 2 was Anya and Tara. I'm OK with calling all of them "Buffy V."

Ok, got it.
But since it's just one figure it seems pointless. Just call them the Willows since there's only 1 character in the line.
But I get your point.

I see your point about the lines being cancelled and re-created.... but they're coming out so close together that I think it's OK to combine them into one. I mean, less than six months in between lines? MAC never pulled anything like that off.

MAC Release dates by series and year? Can you do that?

Let me dig.
Buffy Series I was out in 1999. Buffy Series II was out in 2000. Buffy Series III was out in 2001. Angel Series 1 was out in late 2001/early 2002. Buffy Series IV was out in 2002.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this...

Virtually one line per year with constant delays really didn't help them. Look at Diamond now...
Buffy V Phase 1 - March 04 Buffy V Phase 2 - July 04 Angel 2 - Late 04
That's as many figures as it took MAC two years to produce.
