Well, I'm willing to take suggestions about delegating jobs for people. I just need some help: Who, what and where?
Who do you guys think would be best to do what?

I would love to help make the forum a better site. Anything from just keeping the posts and sections updated and not argument-prone. I visit the forum everyday anyway. If you need me, just ask

How about someone to update the news section at the top of the board...or someone to update the buffy figures website...
and the buy sell trade thread could probably use a firmer hand
also a Season 8 section....

Someone to keep the upcoming action figure icons up to date in the Buffy Figures, Angel Figures, and Deluxe Figures section.

I agree with the BST section. Mainly to sort out the transaction threads, mainly the negative one, which are still supposed to be one post per person right? Plus to keep some of the threads that need delteting much tidier. As for who can do it, just anyone who visits that section on a daily basis I guess. From what I can tell, people like JSebold and Msperoxideluv seem to post there most often?

buy/sell transaction needs someone.... lior knight had some good ideas for it and has been on this forum for a while and is very trust worthy. If he wouldnt mind the responsibility Id definately recommend him.

I nominate Alyrenee for pretty much anything that needs doing! Since she brought up the B/S/T section and the idea for a Season 8, I think she'd be good for moderating both of those. While suggestions are good, I'm curious if you and Chad have specific areas you'd like to focus on but are falling behind on, or just don't have the time. I imagine you guys know best what needs doing. I'm also willing to help out myself with anything that's not "difficult or time-consuming."

I've been trying to do my best now with the stuff I've been running, but I would love to help out in anything that needs assistance. Plus, it would give me more incentive to be on the forum 24/7 ;D

I'd love to help in the art/fan fiction or entertainment section to help clean them up a big and keep them from being over spammed and worked.
Also any art stuff.

If you're still looking to give jobs to people, I'd be more than happy to help clean out (and keep it tidy) the Magic Box BST section. There are 8 pages now of FS/FT/LF threads, plus the Successful Transactions and Unsuccessful Transactions threads need some major tidying, there's just too many posts to sort through when you're looking for a rep of a certain buyer/seller.

I didn't see this thread before, but I'm excited that you are open to bringing on some more staff members and delegating responsibilities.
It seems like the 2006 customs awards were a big issue for a lot of people. If Chad doesn't have the time, I hope you will consider letting someone else do it. I agree that Lior sounds like a great person to help out, if he wants to. He's not one of the major customizers, so he might be good for that area.
I don't know if you agree, but a lot of people I know have felt that the biggest downturn on the board comes from some snipes and personal attacks that happen routinely. Is it possible to have moderated consequences for people making personal attacks on others? Perhaps something along the lines that it's fine to disagree with each other, but not insult each other's character? Perhaps 1 week bans for people who do this or who have already been warned about it once?
I have read the recent comments of others about this situation. I guess the major question is whether the mods should intercede, It's ideal if members simply respect each other, but since some members will not do this, the mods could have a basic policy to create the environment of respect that a few members have taken away from the board.
That's the one job that I think could make the most difference on the board. I personally know about five or six members who do not post on the board anymore because of the routine personal attacks initiated by a few of the current active members.
Tim, thanks so much for your hard work on this board and for listening to the concerns and suggestions of the members. This board has a large membership that shares a common passion. A lot of us want the community to thrive and grow, and will do whatever we can to help it do so.

I try my best to take care of those who start personal attacks. While I can give each forum a scan every day, I can't go into each post and see who says what. The only way I can do that is by having you guys come to me when you have a problem. As far as I know, anytime someone has come to me with a problem, Ive taken a measure to stop it. I can't just ban someone because someone says they said something mean. If anyone ever feels personally offended by another member, let me know and just tell me what I should look at to prove it, then I can take proper measures to make sure it never happens again.

You can't just make people respect anyone. There's still a LOT of people who talk about other people behind their back. And since noone can make this stop it's pointless to talk about respect. You wan't peoples respect? Start respecting them yourself and they will respect you. (In general )

Maria and James, thanks for the kind words. I would like to help and in fact had a lot of suggestions sent over the Mods. But in the end its up to them to choose who they want. BTW, Jess congrats on your new status! Now we know for sure that B/S/T section going to be in top shape. ;D

Thanks Lior I'm happy that I get to straighten up that section. There is a ton of stuff to go through, so it's going to take me a couple of extra days before everything is updated. It isn't as easy as it looks But hey I still love it -Jess
