Question for all you fantastic MODS

Podcasts are the hip thing on the net these days and now they can even be downloaded directly to IPODS. I thought it might be a neat idea if we got in on the action. A BTVSFIGS podcast could discuss:

- Latest Buffy and Angel figure/merchandise news/reviews. This would cover not just the figures, but everything from books to props.

- In addition we could also discuss what Buffy/Angel actors/writers are up to.

I think it would be very beneficial to guests and those who tend not to visit the forum that frequntly, as it would discuss all the basic news and information in one convienent place. Plus, it would be a chance to get others interested in the forum and Buffy figures as it would work as an advertisement. Oh and just in case anyone doesn't know, a podcast is like a taped radio show only it focuses on a specific subject and is online.

Sounds a very cool idea, although I think maybe a monthly newsletter may be a bit better as I know there cant be many dying to get there voice recorded and heard by 100's. We should really discuss it with the mods, and then depending on what they decide we could start rounding up people for either a Podcast, (or instead maybe) an online newsletter.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I am just getting into podcasts myself. It would be cool if someone could interview a DST employee etc...

Yeah interviews would be awesome. I'm betting that there would be chances for that at the conventions. Maybe someone could even get a couple questions to the some of the Buffy/Angel actors there as well. Maybe once the mod's lives get back in order they'll think about this.

Something more feasible for everyone I think would be newsletters. Good idea nonetheless!

I think the figures are way too specialized for a podcast. There's only news often enough for probably about once a month. I think a much better idea would be to write some stuff up and submit it to existing Whedon-centric/genre podcasts. I personally like the Week in Whedon. Maybe you could try getting in touch with them BuffyLover?
