At this point, I am not worried about the episode pictures. Maybe sometime in the future, when all of the basics are taken care of, I'll make a separate section with pictures that display the actual actor/actress in his or her outfit.
Also, we are going to include pictures of the boxed figures, as well as other verions, in the near future.

I just want to chime in - I love the site, and I think its very well put together. Its layout is easy to follow, the style is just what I would have wanted, and the updates are in a good place. I like reading the details, and of course the pictures are what I first look for.
Is your space limited? I'm just wondering if you need to find more to host more pictures.
Thanks for all the work.

Yes, space is limited on geocities. Someone has offered to host the site, and I am thinking about it. I just have to get the full details (i.e. how long it will take, what type of program I will be using, etc.). I don't want to pick up and leave geocities unprepared. -CMK

I'm thinking about having a forum member host the site...I have to think it over, though.

I don't think vertical scrolling is bad in any way..it's not too much work, as long as the content is interesting.

CMK has already set up the reviews like the second site that you linked. BTVSFigs just looks way better.

The only reason I might not if because of time constraints, what with finding all of these stores (especially out of the US). I did have links to where you could buy the Willows, but I removed that when I started working on the "Series Five - Phase One" section. I will put up Series Four and the rest of Series Five - Phase One when all of the information is ready, as well as pictures. -CMK

I hate white on back type, it's sooo hard to read. It's not white...it's light gray. And if I turn it a shade darker, then someone said it would be too hard to read. I'm sticking with gray because it's the basic color scheme. -CMK

Can you just make html tables for the boxes and place the type in there. It'll look better and the page will load faster because they won't be .jpgs just pure HTML Also it's kind of weird that the images in the boxes to the left aren't hotlinked. Usually when you see images like that on a site they're clickable. I had to move my cursor around to find the links. I just noticed that this happens with all the pictures. They should all be links. You also need to make a "back" button for each page as well as a visible "home" button on every page. The pages as they are now just sit there with no visible links, there is no visible way for someone to jump back to the home page. This will help people navigate the site without having to click "back" on their browers 20 times if they're 20 pages deep. It will also help people who find page number "10" via a search engine find your home page. Also each page should have a link to the previous and next series figures page, as well as that "home" button. This will help the site flow smoothly. Hopes this helps, will add more as I check out the site.

Ok...first things first...could you please...PLEASE...just modify one of your posts and add in you extra comments when they are a couple minutes apart? One of my biggest pet peeves on this board is when people post comments that are two minutes apart, when they could have just put all of the info in one thread.
Now on to your comments, bettycooks...
I'm not big on HTML, so the .jpg images are going to stay the way they are.
Also, just because there are picture boxes doesn't mean they have to be links, or that they should be links. Those are just there as a preview for what you are about to look at. Also, like on every other site I see, links are usually underlined...if you look on my pages, the links are also underlined. So, it shouldn't be that difficult to find the links.
Lastly, the navigation on the site could be a bit smoother...I'll look into your suggestions about that.

JPEG fuzziness is just from over-compression. If the files were a little bigger, you'd get a higher quality picture (of text in this case, something JPEG never handles too well), so obviously that's a trade-off though. The advantage of the JPEGs is that you can use the Buffy font, which most people don't have so it'd display properly. I'm just arguing both sides on that one.

Most people do click on smaller pictures or icons as most sites link small images to larger ones or different sections of a site pertaining to that image. With graphic intensive sites most pictures are links. It's a visual medium and this takes advantage of that attribute especially since we all just want to see the pretty pictures of the figures. Clearly delineated navigation on individual pages would be a great improvement, glad you'll look into that.

You're right, if you go bigger it takes longer to load but with smaller images you get that fuzzy quality seen in the lettering. And HTML lettering would lose the font, no way to change it.
