Connor.
Hated him. Bored the hell out of me. I found his storyline and scenes with him bland and uninteresting. Until the final episodes of season 4, that is.
I see how he was necessary to the show, since he played a large part in seasons 3 and 4, but I'm so glad that he was practically ignored for the majority of season 5.

Riley.
After he found out Buffy was a slayer he just really annoyed me. He always tried to act like he was the leader. The only good thing about him is how hot he was.

Riley - Bland and sort of boring. Very inbetween all the time. Didn't like him one bit with Buffy until the last episode before he left. Kendra - My number 1 pet peeve. The accent, the cockiness and just the general character. Not a fan at all. Kennedy - Again, it's the cocky characters I don't like. She moaned, complained and didn't fit in.

I liked her cause she was so awkward and didn't know how to deal with normal social situations but I can see how she could be annoying. For sure Kennedy. I still don't know what Willow saw in her!

Kennedy - Just didn't like her attitude, i disliked how she talked to the other potentials. Why was she more important than they were? She wasn't. And i didn't like her as Willow's girlfriend, Willow should have just stayed single for a while. Willow/Tara forever!
Maggie Walsh - She's just a bitch, i love that scene in A New Man when Giles chases her down the street. Priceless. Though, i'm pretty sure we were supposed to dislike her anyway.
Angel - Blah, Angel annoyed me by just being boring and takin' up too much screen time. I didn't miss him at all when he left the series. Usually i like the dark/brooding types... but Angel was only cool when he was Angelus. His relationship with Buffy was just "Oh Angel" Ohh Buffy, i love you" *snuggles*.... zzzz
Season 7 Buffy - Buffy was supposed to be cold and distant in Season 6, but i felt she totally lost herself in season 7. In Season 7 she was all about 'saving the world', all about the big battle (like Robin's mom), she didn't seem as close to Willow and Xander and it seemed like the hardened, put up a wall or something. I feel this says it all:
BUFFY: Giles, we had this conversation when I told you that I wouldn't sacrifice Dawn to stop Glory from destroying the world. GILES: Ah, yes, but things are different, aren't they? After what you've been through, faced with the same choice now, you'd let her die. BUFFY: If I had to...to save the world. Yes.
Buffy was always fun to me because, even though she was a hero, she was still a normal person, and she didn't want to be like those old slayers who didn't have loved ones and were all about being the "Chosen One".. This probably won't make sense to a lot of people, but it's how i felt it.
Season 5 Riley - Riley isn't the greatest character to begin with, but in season 5, when he gets all attention seeking because he feels left out by Buffy.. that was when he really got on my nerves, the whole 'giving Buffy an ultimatum' was so unfair.
There's some more like Rona and Spike (but only in later seasons), but that's about it. Dawn i didn't find annoying at all oddly enough, i love her to bits.

Willow - Unless she's a vampire or high on magic, I don't like her one little bit. Passive aggressive, superior, manipulative and entitled. I just cannot stand how she feels like just because she's smart, she's above the rules she enforces on the others. Like with hacking and magic.
She was such an annoying friend too, emotionally. She was so needy and draining. I don't think she was ever as close with Buffy and everyone seems to think. It was more like a friendship of convenience.
I love Dark Willow because she acknowledges all these things and doesn't make excuses for them, she just tells it like it is, with Willow being a whiney loser who pissed her life away using magic crack to feel powerful.
Vamp Will is just plain hot.
Fred (during season five) - She lost ALL her edge and craziness, became a total Mary Sue and token chick. plus they totally tried to sexify her, and I hated that because Fred's so embarassed about brazen sexuality (she called Cordy's bras 'support thingies', remember?) By the time Illyria came along I was so sick of Fred that I didn't feel at all sad.
I love all the other characters, but those two grate on me a lot.

Eve: She was super super annoying, I hated how she thought she was better than everyone else just because she was the link to Wolfram & Hart. I was so thankful when Hamilton took over her position. Lilah: I really never was a fan of her. Although she was much better than Eve. I think what bothered me most was her weird relationship with Wesley, and how bitter and vindictive she was. I couldn't ever really forgive her for what she did to Lorne. I really loved what Lorne said about her when she came back to the Hyperion Hotel: "Wesley, would you please warn this walking infection that I haven't forgotten how she poked my head open like a Capri-Sun. And while my love for humanity allows me to tolerate her presence, if need be I will smack her down! Be a doll. Thanks."Maggie Walsh: I don't think we were meant to like her, but all the same she's on my annoying list. I especially didn't enjoy what she said about Giles, but I did enjoy it when Fyarl Giles chased her down the street, gotta love that Kennedy: She's grown on me a bit, but I still don't like her relationship with Willow. I also didn't like how stuck up and bossy she was. Spike (during season 6 & 7): I didn't like the effect he had on Buffy, and I can't forgive that he almost raped her in "Seeing Red." I know he was soulless then, but getting a soul doesn't mean he's a better man. He realizes the things he did was wrong, but it's just hard for me to be as forgiving as Buffy was (at least how she was with him at the end of season 7). I'm in the mindframe of Dawn and Xander when it comes to Spike. I so much more preferred evil Spike before he got the chip in his head. When he started loving Buffy he got a bit more boring. Dawn (during seasons 5 & 6): I know she was a young teen going through a lot of stuff, but damn, did she have to scream that much? I started warming up to her at the end of season 6 when she helps Buffy fight, and in season 7 I don't mind her at all. And as much as I hate to say it Willow has been to the point of annoying me as well. I hated the way she treated Tara when she was addicted to magic, she made changes she wanted so that she could be happy. -Jess

I agree with pretty much everyone, except I thought Lilah was a pretty entertaining villian and I didn't mind Kennedy at all. I mean, I thought she was a jerk to Buffy, but everyone else was a jerk to Buffy too. I liked that she brought Willow out of her shell.
My top most annoying characters were Dawn in seasons 5 and 6. The only season Of Buffy I don't own is season 5, because I can't stand Dawn or how Buffy acted about/around Dawn that season.
Connor. Uggh. So annoying.
Xander. I liked him the first few seasons, but he did and said a lot of annoying things, especially in Dead Man's Party and Becoming Part 2. When he left Anya at the altar, I was done with him. Even Nick Brendon has said that Xander was a good character until season 6.
Joyce, the queen of uncompassionate moms.I hated her in Becoming and I hated her in Dead Man's Party and most of the episodes she was in, right down to when she said, "Do I have to sing?" on Buffy's birthday. Gee, don't go out of your way for your kid. And why didn't she have some life insurance to take care of her teenager if she died. Everything about Joyce bugs the heck out of me.
Angel started to bug me in season 3 of Buffy. He was so awful to her, but mostly their whole relationship of angst bugged me.
I agree with others that Riley was a jerk. I thought it was pathetic that he thought he should be stronger than the slayer. I liked him some of the time during season 4, but he was awful for all of his stint on the show in season 5. Here her mom had a tumor and he made it all about him. It was such a slap in the face that he came back with his wife.

Spike from late season 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 & angel 5 i just wanted him dead ! i don't understand why they all kept him around . i thought that he was ok in season 2 , and when he was evil in season 4 but they should of killed him then. and in Angel season 5 , with the loss off Lilah , Cordy then Fred i just hated him being there.

There were certainly a few annoying characters on the show. Angels characters didn't bother me that much as the only character/arc i found remotely interesting was the season 2 finale and season 4 (both Cordy based) Riley- I found Riley to be a pretty cool guy at the start of season 4. A little bland- but his overall kindness and positive thinking was nice to watch. After Hush he just turned. He just couldn't get over the fact that Buffy didn't want anything to do with him. Creeping out of nowhere in Doomed, trying to convince Buffy it is true love ..that was just annoying. Partly because i find the initiative storyline boring- most new season 4 characters i hate. Maggie, Riley, Graham, Olivia, Adam. By the end of season 4- his weird irritating fits and issues got to me. By the start of season 5 i was drained of watching him. Although I hate his "He isn't just for fun, he is forever" plot in season 5- I am glad that it got rid of him before the main arc of the season fell into place. His return in season 6 was a pleasant surprise- simply just because it was an old face returning to brighten things in Sunnydale. Adam/ The Master- The Master. The original big bad we encountered. I don't hate him- it is just he is the master of all vampires-but he can't give a good fight to begin with (and the PVC outfit wouldn't help) He used his cheesy "pointing hand" motion and this caused the death of Buffy. Adam just bored me. He was just full of speeches and strange observations that to be honest, i didn't care about. Angel- From WTTH, he bored me. What annoyed me was that one minute Buffy and Angel were fine- next minute Buffy is the biggest bitch to him- now they are kissing in the graveyard and it is true love. Obviously this was the series love interest for millions of viewers, but i didn't get the fascination. His brooding just got boring, i guess. I'm always happy so i guess the depression of Angel rubbed off on me. Spike- He was cool Season 2. After Lovers Walk- He changed. His lines and actions in this episode stated a clear change in character. His return in season 4 was no big shock to me. From season 4-6 i found him boring. Bitching about his chip and basically either fighting-or stalking- or shagging! After Showtime in season 7, i seen a change. He started to get a little more interesting now that he wasn't going on about his soul and "changed man" stuff. I felt Buffy and Spikes love by Chosen was a nice love that got to me much more than Buffy and Angels relationship ever did. I guess i have a problem with all Buffy's love interests. (This may be due to jealously though : Xander- Although I have him in the list, i think i relate to him the most. My closest friends are females- and he is just insecure about committing to a girl because he just cares too much. Xander really started to fade away by season 5. Anya had much more of an in-pact on me, so by season 5 i seen Xander as Anya's boyfriend (I know stating the obvious. Trying to say Anya seemed more dominant to me) Season 6 he was useless up until he left Anya, which he then regretted afterwords. Season 7 was not much for him either. Only time you seen him was fixing windows, the poor guy. Although i do look up to him because, hey, the guy got a date with Ashanti Some other characters had annoying features. I love Willow and loved seeing her happy in season 3 with Oz. Season 4 started to heat up- then he just packed up and left! This so so stupid! I know it was Seth that wanted this, but he had got pretty in depth with Oz and couldn't have at least stayed until the season 4 finale or something, because i found his return boring and pointless, as i had already fell in love with Tara. I never found Dawn annoying. I might have said before i found her annoying during season5, but recently been watching season 5-7, she is a 15 year old girl in season 5. She is a nagging, moody and irritating character...this is what all 15 year old girls are like. Michelle actually plays the role very well and it has made me grow to love Dawn. Season 6 she was sort of useless. All the way was a crappy filler-episode. This was about the only episode she got this season. The stealing thing i didn't click to, because i have never stolen so the storyline didn't interest me. I was expecting a "key" episode to be in season 6 somewhere. Like a demon out to get her because she might be active to open something else (along those lines...) By season 7 she had become so much more mature! It was nice to watch No Place Like Home, then watch Potential. The change is amazing! I suppose every single character brought something to the show, one way or another or Joss would have just scrapped them.

I can definitely see what you mean about Kendra. I did like the fact her and Buffy were so polar opposite but at the same time she just really rubbed me up the wrong way, haha. I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't like Kennedy. She was just one of those new characters who gave her opinion all the damn time. I'd cringe sometimes when she came onscreen. I also agree with whoever said Season 7 Buffy. She (and her willow and Xander) lost the spark for me completely. Too cold, not enough humanity and too much monotone saving the world. It was obvious she had to go down that route, but it wasn't whole heartedly enjoyable. I like Dawn, she never really bothered me. Neither did Lillah. Lindsey did sometimes, but that was a few and far between thing. Oh and Spikes character as it progressed in Angel was terribly annoying, and that's coming from quite a big Spike fan. Someone should of realised the series was called Angel and not Spike.

Season 6 Dawn was very annoying, though by the end of the season I started liking her again.
But the most annoying character would be Connor. The writers made him so gullible it didn't look normal or natural...they were trying way to hard. Though, season 5 Connor was much more likable.

Every character has been annoying or boring to me at some point whether it's ongoing, in one scene, etc. I adore Spike but there was one time where he annoyed the hell out of me in Unleased, though most of the cast got on my nerves in that episode.
Angel: He bored me on Buffy and I couldn't stand most of his scenes with Buffy. I love him on his own show though and he's tied with Spike and Cordelia as my favorite character.
Xander: I really liked him at the start of the show, I even wanted him to date Buffy instead of Angel. He lost me though (not sure if I can pinpoint when) and I can barely stand to see him. I don't like how he acted to people and how he seemed to be the one who's actions were not called into question as much as others (OMWF) but he never let anyone else forget theirs.
Willow: She use to be my favorite character on BTVS until she got magic happy. She irked me when she brought back Buffy (feeling that she was right/wanting a thank you), threatening Giles, but what really got me was the way she mindwiped Tara. Not just once either after what Glory did to Tara, after she even told Willow how she felt about it as well Willow still does it again. I could never get myself to like her again and believe me I tried.
Buffy: She was never my favorite character but I use to like her better. After season 2 she started to have moments where she believed that she was right and at times got in others faces about it. I didn't like how fast she would resort to violence at times when it wasn't needed. Like when she hit Spike when he couldn't/wouldn't fight back, punching Faith when she was trying to reason with her in s7, or hitting Angel for trying to keep her from attacking Faith.
Wesley: I hated him in season 3 of BTVS but I love him in Angel. Though looking back on it now I do feel some pity for him.
Faith: I did not like her at all when she first appeared and didn't until her story on Angel. Like with Wes I can see her in a different light now.
Kennedy: I never liked her and doubt I ever will.
Dawn, Connor, and Eve: I never hated any of these characters. In Eves' case I didn't hate her or love her, she was just there. Dawns' scenes with Spike made me like her, and the only thing I disliked with Connor was the C/C stuff in season 4.

Not many characters bugged me. Gwen was bland. Dark Willow is the most painfully cheesey Buffy/Angel moment in history. Thats about it.

Spike Season 5, 6, 7 : I just hated the fact how he fell inlove with Buffy its so stupid. It just bothered me. And the whole getting a soul thing really stupid.
Riley Seaason 5: I didnt like Riley in season 5 his character just bothered me.

Connor. Too much angst. Even though he ended up being sort-of okay in the end, it was almost too little too late in my opinion.
