According to an interview with Eric Kripke at www.ifmagazine.com/feature.asp?article=2260 , they will be making Supernatural busts, but not action figures. "They are not doing action figures, but they are doing busts. We’re starting with one of Dean Winchester and then one of the scarecrow from season one. So, we’re not starting with fully fleshed out action figures, but instead with sculptures. " I will definitely be getting these! Added new article below.

great news!! I would have loved to have seen figures though but Im glad to just get some merchandise. Why dean and a scarecrow though?! why not sam and dean?
Unless they release dean bust with monster and then Sma with a monster...but too be honest if they do that Id prefer more important monsters...I dont even remember an episode with a scarecrow in.
I really want figures of sam/dead/meg from season 1/ john/ and the blonde love interest of Dean in season 2 who worked at the roadhouse. cant remember her name. What ever happened to her? Did she die in the roadhouse when it burnt down in the season 2 finale?

It is the episode where Sam left to go to California and met Meg sitting alongside the road. Dean was taken by these crazy people who live in this town and he and a girl were to be sacrificed to a Pagan God so that the crops and the town would flourish. Jo is the girl from the Roadhouse. The last we saw of her was in Born in Under a Bad Sign where Sam was possessed. She wasn't in the Roadhouse when it burned down because she had left there a long time earlier.

Cinequest has a photo of the prototype of the Scarecrow. CineQuest.com and Warner Brothers Consumer Products are partnering to product a line of Supernatural minibusts, with the first release in early 2008 featuring "The Scarecrow" and Dean Winchester from the episode "Wendigo." Future releases will include Sam and John Winchester, The Woman in White and many more. Sculpted by Atomic Monkey, the hand-painted resin "Scarecrow" bust stands about 7" tall from base to top of the sculpt and will be packed in a four-color box. NOTE: This is a preorder slated to ship in early 2008. Your credit card will be charged when the item is about to ship to you. Price: $50.00

I find that actors with unique faces usually get good likenesses from sculptures as theres usually some prominent features on their face which shows up on the sculpt...if that makes sense.
I reckon the likenesses of Sam and Dean will be good.
and yep, becky he is fugly! haha.

Busts should be amazing. I wish that their were figures though because they would be a lot cheaper than busts. Oh well at least there is some merchandise getting made.

According to www.cinequest.com/page.cfm?s=59&sid=75044089U52400102017002Y1192899865780E24Y91Y237Y20C99331934Y8399, Cinequest will be making 12" figures too! “We have the license for 12” figures, which we’ll start working on as soon as the first three waves of busts are decided on and headed to the factory.” he said. The company hasn’t yet decided on how to approach the release of 12” figures but expects to have a plan in place by early December. Among the possibilities are 12” figures in the style of Sideshow’s Premium Format line." As for the busts, in the first wave, along with the Scarecrow, will be Dean from Wendigo. The second wave will feature “a very scary, very ‘Masque of the Red Death’-looking Woman in White” from the Supernatural pilot, along with a minibust of patriarch John Winchester from the episode “Devil’s Trap”. And lest fans think that Sam has been forgotten, Del Vecchio was quick with a reassurance they have something special planned for him as well. “Sam Winchester will be in the third wave, for a number of reasons, along with a monster-to-be-named-later. We just got the license a few weeks ago so we’re running fast to get the line started and moving.”

I am hoping for a Mary Winchester from 'Home' to go with the sam bust ...
