Let me keep my eyes out for additional figures and varients of this Blob line.
I might return them. I still haven't made up my mind about them.

I'm working on fixing up my Emma. I swapped her head with Charmed S1 Phoebe's, cut her giraffe neck down some, and repainted her skin. A little perk is that the pink I used in the skintone mix was sparkly, so her skin kind of glitters in the light. I don't have a clue as to what to do about hair though. Oh well, I'll think of something. I also picked up Diamond Emma and HML1 Banshee a few days ago. The Emma is amazing, her face is so pretty. Banshee's not as good, but I like him better now that I repainted his hair.

That looks better already Dave the Vampire Slayer! I was always disappointed about the Emma Frost fig.

She looks infinitely better already, Dave! Keep working on that one, it can only improve upon that hideous figure Maybe you can use that Super Scupley III (flexible Sculpey) to make her hair? It's a Sculpey that is rubbery when it cures. I think NewtonDKC used some on his Initiative Xander custom.

Apparently there are 3 versions of Emma Frost.
There is the regular ugly one, the Diamond Emma...& people on Fwoosh were reporting they have given later waves of regular Emma figures a better facial paint job.
Though as yet, no-one is able to back this up with pics....just people saying there are prettier Emma's on the shelves.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I found a solution to the hair problem though, Flobbster is going to sculpt it. At least that way I know it'll come out awesome. There are "3" versions of Emma, at least I think so. All the latest releases of the regular version have looked infinitely better in the face and skin tone. I keep meaning to pick one up, if I do I'll be sure to post pics here.

Times Square TRU has the Diamond Emmas for $5. My friend picked one up for me. Also the first series is down to $8.

I keep meaning to pick one up, if I do I'll be sure to post pics here. Please do. I have been holding off on buying Emma & I would love to see this new facial paint scheme.

I just saw the blob figs in the local comic store. Juggernaut looked good. Phoenix is so so...there is no detail to the paint jobs.

Don't worry, I haven't seen any Series 2 figures either. I still need to pick up Beast before he vanishes...

Well I finally found Jean, but her package was so bent up and in bad condition that I didn't buy her and it was the only one the store had. But she looks awesome so if I can't find her anywhere else I will for sure buy her online now that I know how good she looks in person.

I found wave 2 today at Forbidden Planet Manchester, but I havent been for a while so I have no idea how long thyve been there. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didnt see if they had every figure, but I didnt notice anybody missing at a glance. I only picked up Phoenix, I hate being poor haha. So far im not really sure what I think, but a few thoughts... The packaging was incredibly nice, It pained me to tear it up to get to the figure. Shes made from good plastic with sturdy joins, she stands up easily as I dont think she will be tumbling over anytime soon. There is plenty of detail in the sculpt, including the ribbon on her back etc. I can see Famke in there, from certain angles it looks spot on, and the whole paint job is very good. Its just a little basic i guess, im sure the prototype had a little more detail, and I think that lets the resembelence down. One thing I didnt like in any of the pictures, and I dislike even more in person is the bottom half of the figure. There is some great detail in the boots, but its covered by the dress. I know that without the "wind effect" there would be even less chance of seing anything under there, but I dislike the actual sculpt itself. It seems a little distorted and bent, and while it looks good from certain angles, it just looks unnatractive from others. Its also worth mentioning the hair sculpt, which is really nice! Its a little big, but very well done. Even with a few grumbles, I really like this figure, and even as ive studied her to write my thoughts, shes grown on me. Its one of the nicest female figures in the legends line, and definately not another Emma Frost. Id definately recomend buying her if you havent already, and with a bit of a fiddle you might find the perfect position which eliminates any of the unsightlyness. Ive had a few more thoughts since Phoenix has been on my shelf tonight. She is definately my favourite figure. The quality really stands out next to some other figures. I keep taking her down to repose her easily worth the money But ive also noticed that she has white pupils..or at least a white dot in the black pupil...Im not sure why though. The legs as part of the whole figure have grown on me, shes a good display figure. However, they do make it difficult to put her in a neutral pose. They seem to be (at least on mine) stuck spread apart, they just wont bend at the thighs. It makes her look a little hunched and weak, she looks great if you squeeze her legs straight though! My camera isnt great, and its pretty dark now, but I thought id include some blurry photos.

Thanks for posting the pics! She does look pretty good. I can't wait to find her... I hope I like her. About 99% sure I'll buy her regardless, though The white dot on her eye is called a highlight, I believe. To show some kind of realism I think. Some action figures have them, though I can't think of any examples.

I know the proto spoiled us, but this figure still wasn't that great. The outfit is all one color with no tones at all and I don't see a likeness to Famke. I definitely passed on this

I bought her and Jugg. on an impulse. Kinda regretted it after honestly.
The figure is alright, but she's nothing to write home about. I find her pose kinda awkward with the blowing jacket bottom and the white 'highlights' in her eyes are better described just as white dots because that's how they look on all the ones in the store i saw. More white pupil, less highlights.

Not a big fan of the Jean figure, she's rather bland and difficult to pose in any interesting way. Thinking about turning her into a Polaris custom.

I can't wait to find her either.
I know she is nothing great...but she will still look freakin awesome in the X-men movie figure display. The likeness is kinda on par if not a little weaker than the X-men movie 1 figures....soi she shouldn't look out of place.

I agree. After getting Jean and Jug and seeing the awesome prototype for Colossus, I decided to build a X3 display and went out and got Beast to match.
