"The Harvest" Dusting-the-Master's-Vessel Buffy and Luke

So... very long time no post! I was out of work for most of last year due to contractor lay-offs during Covid. Earlier this year, I stopped contracting and took a permanent full-time (full-on!) role with a bank I had been contracting with. It's a very different life! Complicated and challenging, but I'm succeeding and enjoying it. But this means I only get a few hours at the weekend to customise. From now on, I expect to only make around 5 pieces per year.

I don't really do commissions any longer, only ideas that I've had myself. Having said that, PJ came up with a really great idea a few months back and asked me to create this custom for him. The perfect project for me... take what is already quite a cool piece and make adjustments to improve likenesses and make it scene-specific. We decided to leave the jacket on as a bit of artistic licence, but otherwise, this piece worked great for Buffy staking Luke.

• Buffy 9" vinyl statue with dusted vampire (DST)
• Metal chain

Sculpt - December 2021

• Altered the whole face and hair of the vampire to look like Luke, with the mark of the Master's vessel on his forehead
• Added Luke's chain necklace
• Sculpted Buffy's top and added more hair

What an amazing piece of art. Yes, love the concept and how the original piece was able to inspire this scene from the series.

I too find myself looking back to this site and seeing new works from a few old members on here. I have made a few upgrades to my personal phone and pc and the majority of my old files are sadly gone. I come back and see some of my old customs on here and self appreciate them for myself, I was ahead of myself. These days I find myself working on X-MEN 3D modeling kits and surprisingly still retain some of my skills during my early times here. So many wonderful pieces and hope my new owners are displaying them proudly still.
