My very first custom mini bust. When it comes to creating something new you gotta have a little FAITH. So this one was inspired by the image used for her Angel Autograph card. Parts: DST Graduation Day Faith W/ Chosen Faith Jacket. I repainted her face, resculpted new hair and repainted the outfit to match the image. Just have to find a way to replicate the base of the ornament.  Finalized version  Custom Bust vs. Ornament Bust  I gave her hair a black wash out to darken the existing color. Seem like it needed it. I also gave her jacket a white wash out to create more of a denim vibe. I didn't try to replicate the original ornament base, however I did go to my local Dollar Tree store and picked up a cheap $1.00 Chess game and borrowed a piece from that. I basically cut the design piece off and used the base. I had to apply sculpey as my connector between the two. Name plate is simple card stock attached with double sided tape. I'm not sure if anyone else ever thought of it, but it's relatively inexpensive and serve the same purpose. Not to mention it saves you a lot of time rather than replicating a base from a mold. |

Hmm it looks real good now you painted the face and added a proper bust base but I don't know what it is something is off about the hair it looks a little flat I don't know but the hair isn't right Other than that it's a good bust  |

She looks great. The ED likeness is a tough one. The closest fig/ornament I saw was the Santuary ornament or the Chosen Faith figure. But, they are hard to come by. So considering the DST DLX Faith - you did a very nice job.
I like the face and jacket repaint and hair sculpt and very creative use of the chess piece! unique and resourceful idea. Her hair might stand a few highlights as it looks like there are some in the card photo.
Overall, a lovely work, very clean and cool custom base.

Thanks for the open feedback everyone. Josh i think your right, she can probably use a few more strands of hair. Sharon although chosen faith and ornament sanctuary faith are hard to come by, i think this head choice came close to what i was trying to accomplish. theres variant highlights in her hair both light and dark, but i will try to make it stand out a little more when i go back and add a few locks of hair. UPDATE! Thanks for the recommended suggestion you guys. I've taken the time to go back and added a few more strands of her to Faith's head and it's looking a lot better. The highlights are very mild and mixed, but I think it's passable. I did some light touch up to the eyes as well. Here is the update photo: |

This one was pretty fun to do and it only took all of 2 days to complete. Like I said before I really wanted to do this version of Faith either in action figure or bust form. It just happened I went for the bust look rather than plan a whole figure out. Really the hardest part was deciding on how to approach the base. Replicate, sculpt or substitution. At first I kept thinking candle stick holder, but every one I looked at turn out too big/tall. After a few days I recalled passing a game board with a similar looking shape and I went back to that and lucky for me it worked out.
gc based on your avatar I know you would be an Eliza fan and I know how important it is to get that likeness down.
I wouldn't mind continue building more mini bust to make a complete cast collection. I know I really want to make an Angel one too. So I guess more to come...

Sanctuary faith busts I know are for sale on germany and UK Amazon as I brought them from both
Also I think maybe to test a series 1 rose tyler doctor who figure head for faith ? And I think deluxe faith have best likeness to faith next to chosen faith
