Note: I will sort the entries and set up the polls. Another Moderator will check through everything before the polls go live. We'll also be entering COTY 2014. The polls will display the results automatically, and Lior will post the winners round-up thread.
Most of the categories are open to Jossverse and Non-Jossverse entries.
In any categories that have many entries, I'll separate that category and have one poll for "Standard" and one for "Advanced". This will certainly be the case in the Custom of the Year category. Advanced is someone who has either sculpted 100+ figures, or has been customising for more than 3 years.
For this reason, I've amalgamated some of the Jossverse categories.
Rules for Submission
1) Send a PM to MsBig with photos of your entries in each appropriate category.
2) Deadline for submissions is end of Saturday 31st January.
3) You can only submit a maximum of 2 customs in each category. This is because there will be no narrowing-down this year. All submissions will be up for the final vote.
4) You can only post 1 photo for each custom. If you like, you can include multiple images of the custom in this one photo. Maximum photo width is 600 pixels. I will not accept photos wider than this. You must include the photo image URL in your e-mail to me. Don't ask me to go digging around the forum to find the link myself.
5) You can put the same custom in for multiple categories, but try to spread the love a bit. It gets old seeing the same custom over and over.
6) You can judge your own skill level and enter in the appropriate category. Please state whether you are Standard or Advanced.
7) For most categories, there is no limit on the size and style of the custom. In general, each category can be mini, 6", 7", 12", bust or single figure. Where appropriate, tableaux are also allowed.
8) Each custom must have been displayed on this forum during 2014. Customs that have never been shown on this forum are not valid.
How Voting Will Happen
I will set up a poll for each category in a new sub-board under the Customising Contests board. This board will only appear when voting begins. The voting will last one week in early February.
All BtVSFigs Forum members will be able to vote once in each poll. The results of the voting will be hidden all week, until they appear automatically as the polls are locked at the end.
Categories for Customs of the Year 2014

- Best Buffy Summers Custom (single figure or bust)
- Best Single Character Custom from BtVS or Angel (single figure or bust). Any character other than Buffy from BtVS or Angel.
- Best Tableau Custom from BtVS or Angel (more than one figure). Any multi-person scene from BtVS or Angel.
- Best Non-Jossverse Fictional Character Custom - TV (single figure, tableau or bust). A character from a TV show.
- Best Fictional Character Custom - Movie (single figure, tableau or bust). A character from a movie.
- Best Fictional Character Custom - Game/Comic/Book (single figure, tableau or bust). A character from a game, comic, or book.
- Best Celebrity or "Real Person" Custom (single figure, tableau or bust). A celebrity who is not in character, like a magazine shoot or event, a musician performing, or a normal person.
- Best Base or Playset. Figures can be visible in the playset but should not be counted in the voting.
- Best Sculpting Achievement (single figure, tableau or bust). Preferably with photo of the unpainted sculpt, although painted is accepted.
- Best Painting Achievement (single figure, tableau or bust).
- Best Likeness for Head Not Available for that Character/Person (single figure or bust). This is where you have not used a head that was professionally sculpted for a toy-line to portray that actor/person.
- Most Creative Custom (single figure, tableau or bust). Something special, showing imagination, creativity, and verve.
- Custom of the Year 2014 (single figure, tableau or bust).
