Spur of the moment idea: Mini Scythe Felt Plushy I couldn't find anything like it online, so I thought I would give it a shot. First attempt is pretty rough in execution. I'm planning on making a bunch of mini-Buffy weapons to develop a better technique, then move up in scale. Ultimately I hope to make a really nice looking full-scale scythe to use as a display pillow on my couch, along with a whole mini-Scooby-Gang. Here are a few pics. It looks cute with my battle-torn Smiletime Angel, so I'm planning on making him his favourite broadswoard soon.

Very nice item, Love the look of it and it's certainly recognizable. Look to the Pop figures for inspiration on the plush figures. My other suggestion would be custom style full body pillows with Characters on them on the pillow case.

Thanks everyone! I'm already learning as I go (stuff the nooks and crannies as you go, because you won't be able to do it all at the end; and smaller stitches look neater around the edges - hopefully soon I will have a larger variety of colours to better match the felt) The hunga munga is my favourite Buffy weapon/short axe, so naturally it came next. I'm hoping to have a life-size jackal done this weekend if I find a grey yarn to use (I'm hoping it will be a lot easier than my half-finished paper-mache attempt). Soon I will have my own little weapons chest of plushies! Attachments:

These are great! Such an original idea and beautifully made. Looking forward to seeing the Jaclal knife and would love to see full size versions of the others as well. Do you plan to sell these in the future?

Wow, that's adoreable. Its really cool. It looks perfect, it must have been tricky to get the shape so precise.

This had sat unfinished for a couple of months now. I was waiting to find a thin grey yarn to sew the blade, but to no avail. I noticed it was starting to get a bit floppy as I was stuffing it, so I added some wooden skewers through the blade and into the handle portion. It is a little larger than it should be (I didn't realize my pattern was too large until I had already cut out the pieces). Since I don't have an actual Jackal, I've compared it in size to an unfinished paper-mache project that was to scale as best as I could get it at the time. I'm not sure I'm 100% please with the outcome, but it will do for now (The more I pretend to play fight my husband with it the more fun it seems). I'm thinking of attempting to make a 'chubby' version similar to the scythe, but the sketches are not working out so far.

These are so cute the jackal looks great but maybe abit more pointier You should Take commissions on these do you make characters ?? I've discovered that it is difficult to make something so soft look pointy. I think if I change the type of stitch it will stay looking a bit more pointy (like on the dark grey pieces of the handle) No commissions yet. I'm not 100% pleased with all of my finished products. I will most likely create an inventory for myself that I'm happy with, then perhaps make some commissions to raise money for charity. No people yet! I think I need to have a larger variety of felt before I start those. There is someone on etsy now who makes people (a Spike and an Angel). They use an actual sewing machine, so they can make them a lot faster. They're cute though! But I prefer the hand stitching. Also! Finished this little item today. Based off of a tattoo I've seen online of the Buffy Merchandise Logo (although I can't find the logo image online). I might add a little strap so it can hang up somewhere. Here it is with my Feigenbaum bunny

New! Just for Wayne: Troll Hammer! It looks a little bit too much like a Troll Axe, so I'm trying to work on a more 3D pattern for when I feel a little bit more ambitious. Attachments:

I really love these! The whole concept that these deadly weapons can work as soft, cuddly plushes is such fun and you've made them so beautifully. I would definitely buy these if I saw them in a shop! Keep going with them, I would love to see a Bringer's knife, cross, etc. Very well done.

Thanks! I was actually planning on Angel's Broadsword next, and redoing the scythe because I'm not particularly pleased with the execution. I was thinking about a Bringer's knife, but I would want to use some beads for the jeweled effect, so that is something I will soon be experimenting with. A chubby Jackal is in the planning stages, but proving difficult since it has such a sleek and slender look. I'm also thinking of Faith's fighting knives from Dirty Girls and Willow's daggers from Tough Love, but they would look better in life size rather than chubby. I will keep you updated!

I was about to start on a Broadsword for my Smile Time Angel, but my husband pointed out that I am making Buffy weapons and have yet to make a stake. Therefore! New! Xander's Night-Hawk Stake. I took an image of a replica and squished it down to a 'chubbier' size and used it as a template. Pictured here next to my template, and my Batbear who wanted in on the vampire slaying action! I really like that you keep coming out with these. Such an original idea and they look so good. I want to see what you come up with next. Gunn's axe might be cool, although pretty tricky.
