Sorry if this is in the wrong place, let me know!
So I'd been putting off the comics for such a long time, because the television series was my life. But I'd finally been persuaded to give the comic book season 8/9 a go and boy I wish I'd jumped on that train a lot faster.
I'm a massive fan of the art for both Buffy season 8 and 9 comics, but when I finished reading 9 I needed something to pass the time until season 10 gets released. Angel & Faith it is... Jeez the art is even better!! The likenesses are incredible, I love how believable the story line is, how it all ties in so well together. I'm super excited to see that the Angel & Faith team are taking over for Buffy season 10, you can just tell it's going to be great.
But now that I've finished Buffy 8 & 9, Angel & Faith and I STILL have time to kill until season 10 I thought I'd give Angel After the Fall a go. Afterall, the cover art for the comics are great, the contents must also be great, right? Wrong.
Am I the only one who hates the whole style of the After the Fall comics? I find it really hard to read and it's all just so jumbled. And not only because I backtracked and didn't read it along with season 8. What are your thoughts?

Just be careful not to do any major spoilers.
There's some mini series that you're missing that flows out from the main series and that is Willow Wonderland and Spike. They are 5 issue side story that branch out from the main Buffy title.
Angel After the Fall takes place way after Season 5 and a lot of stuff happens, which makes it hard to understand. Then Angel makes the jump to Buffy and then Angel & Faith.
To be honest I'm not finish with season 9 because there were too many issues to keep up with and at $3 + tax x 30+ issue was getting too expensive.

I didn't give out any spoilers! I'm just all about the art and After the Fall just fell flat for me. The only ones I haven't read are the Willow Wonderland and Spike story arcs. I'll get onto them after I finish Angel.... although it may take a lot longer for me to read, since I'm enjoying it far less...

Yeah I quickly stopped reading ATF...don't understand why really. Just was boring and hard to swallow for me. And ooooh! Willow: Wonderland is one of my favorites. You will love it!!

I think it's okay to give away Angel: after the fall spoilers since it's over 6 years old. Lol. I love the series. It's in my top 10 fav comic books of all time. The rest of the Angel stories are easily forgettable. I don't feel the same way about Buffy season 8-9. I don't share the same interest in them. I do love the Fray and Billy/Devon story-lines though.
To me, I only count Angel/Spike: After the fall as cannon. Also 'last Angel in hell' and the Illyria and Dru mini" The rest of the IDW rans was a small hit or a big miss for me.
