In an attempt to keep the forum alive I decided to present you with some tasks. But.... Firstly, I just wanna say how Season One goes so unappreciated People seem to forget that's where it all began. [If you exclude both the movie and the unaired pilot] So much happened in the first season, I think the brilliance of it all goes underrated by the regular Buffy fan. I'm not saying it's my favourite season, but there are moments in it that I rank highly from the entire series. I give you the following three tasks:
1) Name both your favourite and least favourite season.
2) Pinpoint 3 key scenes from any episodes during each of your selected seasons to back up your choice.
3) Appreciate Season One. I'll go first 1. favourite = 7 least favourite = 3 2. The Chosen battle/final fight scene, that is some epic TV history right there. Aud back story along with the prequel to OMWF (Including both the Mustard part one and I'll be Mrs) Beneath You - "Is there anyone here that hasn't slept together" The glance shared between Xander and Spike is priceless.
The Mayor playing mini golf The Zeppo - not being able to see the world not end because we're too busy dealing with Xander crap. Buffy's hair in Amends.
(don't get me wrong, there are things in season 3 that I love, I just love all the other seasons more on the whole lol)
3. I clearly already appreciate season one.

1. favourite - 6 least favourite - 2
2. In season six I love the process of willow becoming the dark witch then she finally snaps I also love Buffys re-birth
In season 2 the reason why I hate it is because angel pops out of every corner
3. I appreciate season 1 just not all episodes lol

1. Favorite - 6 Least Favorite - 4 2. I love six cause it felt so real too me, like they all had to grow up, Buffy had to get a job! I really loved that aspect of the season, I also loved Willow going dark. I found it so amazing too see one of the Scoobies go so evil. Season 6 also had OMWF and Tabula Rasa. Those epi. are so much fun, I really enjoyed seeing the actor get to have some fun. OK the reason I don't like 4 as much as the others is pretty much cause of Buffy & Riley. I just don't like them dating for some reason, I mean I like him when he comes back and is married, but I just didn't like him and Buffy together. I think its cause I was so hard core Team Angel for such a long time LOL. I also was kind of annoyed with the whole Initiative thing. The only thing I really liked about Season 4 was Hush. 3. Duh of course I appreciate season 1. I mean I remember when I bought the VHS tapes, back before DVDs!!! Then when the DVDs came out me and my cousins would watch season 1 over and over again every summer!!! LOL Season 1 was so great. I was always surprised that it was only 13 epi. It always felt like such a long story line too

Great idea.
1. Favorite-7 Least Favorite-6
2. I love the grand finale, especially the moment where Buffy was sharing her power with girls allover the world. Also love how the scythe was giving from Buffy to Faith when she got stabbed down, Faith gave the scythe to Rhona and so on... I love the symbolic of giving the power to the next slayer after each was done. Season seven had so many amazing episodes such as lessons, conversation with dead people, showtime, get it done ect. Selfless was one of the most amazing episodes ever imo.
3. I really do like the first season, it had a few great episodes and fantastic moments too, everybody was so lovely and innocent back then, I loved the Buffy/Angel romance and how shy they were. The Master was a great first enemy, and the final episode had everything a great finale have to have in.

1) Name both your favourite and least favourite season. Fave season 3 - Least Fave season 4
2) Pinpoint 3 key scenes from any episodes during each of your selected seasons to back up your choice. Season 3 was so important because of the season finale in season 2. Buffy ran away and is now living with a new identity as Anne. It also introduced my favorite slayer Faith in Faith, Hope & Trick and ended with a slayer vs. slayer send off.
Season 4 had less memoriable episodes for me, just a few select episodes but overall the other seasons were just better.
3) Appreciate Season One. It goes without saying that you just have to love season 1. Don't get me wrong I love the original Buffy movie and I'm glad Sarah Michelle Gellar was cast as the lead. Season 1 added more characters that we now come to love and adore.

1) Favorite: S4 Least: S2
2) Although S4 has prob my LEAST favorite big bad next to the mayor.....S4 is probably my favorite season (tied with S6 if anything). Before I hear all the boos let me explain why. First, S4 has some of my favorite episodes including Restless (my favorite of the series), Hush, This Year's Girl/Who are you?, New Moon Rising, Wild at Heart, Fear Itself.....the list goes on. Second, the forth season is where we first are introduced to Tara, and we first see the hinted "sparkage" of Tillow. With that said S4 explores themes that got me threw times when I was coming to terms with my own sexuality. And third.....even though I am a Bangel fan I never understood the whole ... I HATE RILEY thing. He was a good, normal guy for Buffy and after Parker..I was glad to see Riley in Buffy's life. I mean yeah he had some flaws and annoying qualities but I never got why he gets SO MUCH HATE. Maybe he just interferes with the Bangel VS Spuffy debate that's why. And here come more Boos. S2. I love to hate it..as much as I am a Bangel fan. Lots of reasons but here are 3 main ones. First, Kendra. Even though Kendra was an interesting concept on paper, and a slayer at best... her character fell flat and lost my interest. She had so much potential too!! Next, it always comes off as cheesy. And last, the season is boring. Maybe I need to rewatch it but every time I do watch it...nothing shocks me....nothing excites me. Just follows one note the whole course of the season.
3) I always do! S1 is very underappreciated in the Buffyverse but it does have some of the best attributes! The Master is one of my favorite Buffy villains, Prophecy Girl is such a great finale, ect. Plus everytime I watch it I feel like I am visiting an old friend. It's classic! haha.

1) Name both your favourite and least favourite season.
Season 2 and season 6.
2) Pinpoint 3 key scenes from any episodes during each of your selected seasons to back up your choice.
Season 2:
Spike caring for Drusilla (choose you episode, really) for example in School Hard. Shows that even evil baby killers are rarely all evil. Humanity is complex.
Giles anti-slut shaming Buffy in Innocence. He makes sure she understands it's not her fault something accidentally happened. Because even if you end up sleeping with the wrong person, sex itself isn't evil.
"Me." Buffy fighting back against Angelus when it seems like she's given up. It just's so powerful and really sends the message that no matter what, YOU still matters. Unless you're a bloodsucking evil fiend.
Season 6:
Xander's gay joke in OMWF. There's a scene where Xander basically says "So this singing and dancing could be causing the deaths?" in a infidderent voice. So we know that Xander a) used magic he didn't seem to know much about, despite a mayor theme in the season was "Don't abuse magic/power, it can backfire" something he's known forever and b) that Xander was well aware it could be his fault and that it should be stopped just in case. But he doesn't talk about it, or react to it. Bad directing/acting/writing all around. It didn't seem planned out at all.
The whole "You violated ME" thing with Tara & Willow was glossed over to get to the happy-turned-sad- ending. Perhaps not a bad call, but I feel like Willow' abuse of magic, not of her girlfriend's mind, was the focus. Violating your girlfriend seems more important. After all, Willow seemed to have a power issues for seasons, not just a magic obsession. That was never dealt with.
Spike & Buffy kissing. Both good - out of context- and bad - in the abuse context. Not bad writing, it just makes me sad. That's why I don't like this season, it makes me sad. It's brilliant though, despite the flaws I mentioned.
3) Appreciate Season One.
Half-naked Angel, the outsider's-can-be-heroes-theme, the wacky icky clothes.
