Hi , I am a goldsmith living in germany. I always loved the look of Anyankas amulet she wore in the episode "the wisch" and i always wnted to make one for my self. last moth i finally did. though i made some changes. i made it from solid silver instead of gold , because i never wear any gold stuff and it is simply cheaper in silver cause of the heavy wheigt. the stone i used also has a different cut and is a tansanite instead of an emerald. but i think i captured the overal look quite good, what do you think?? ;D Attachments:

I think this is very beautiful and I actually love the colour changes you've made. I looked at your other pieces of jewellery for sale on Ebay and they are gorgeous too! You are very talented! You've photographed them brilliantly as well.

ooooh... so pretty!! Purple is my favourite colour... it actually looks better instead of the emerald green colour!! Beautifully made. Are you going to be making any other jewellery or props from buffy/angel?? I agree with smiler. The photographs are very well done as well... the crystal background is brilliant. Very mystical!!

thank you:) i thought about making then ring of armara but i havnt found the right stone yet. but if i made it it would also be silver not gold and probably again a blue or violet stone because that goes best with the silver colour in my opinion. Also some of the pieces on my website are a bit inspired by the way some amulets looked in buffy because i like when jewelry has some kind of a mystyrious look. what i did in the past are some buffy stakes you can see here: www.yourprops.com/Buffy-season-6-stake-other-replicas-prop-weapons-Buffy-the-Vampire-Slayer-TV-1997-prop-56649.html

If we're talking more items I would wear rather than display as a prop, I have always preferred silver to gold and blue/purple to green lol! sounds lovely. You'll have to keep us updated on new items you make

I love the fact that you have used the Buffy 'gems' as a starting point and not copied them exactly! In that sense they are not inaccurate at all but very clever variations on a theme and like Roadie I prefer your colour scheme!

Anyanka's necklace was green and cut differently. On a side note, I love that it's silver better... not a big gold fan.

I read it ba and fyi this is America I am entitled to my opinion as is she and I didnt disrespect it I simply asked why she thought that it was not inaccurate and quite frankly I am an American and its a little thing called FREEDOM OF SPEECH I can ask something if I please or say something as long as it isnt offensive or discriminating in anyway!

Ok, the point I was trying make is that because the intention of the maker was not to make a slavishly accurate copy of the amulet it was kind of pointless to mention what was already obvious as an opening point. Rather - appreciate the hard work and beauty of the amulet as it stands. Focusing on positive points first always softens any constructive criticism to follow, but that's just how I like to present my comments!!

Devilish Drone - Of course you are allowed to express an opinion but I don't think there is a need to point something out that the maker already mentioned when he posted this thread he wanted to make it in his own style and I like that as do others who commented. If this was meant to be an accurate piece then of course there would be a need to mention the colour but it's meant to be different as he mentioned when posting this. It's a beautiful piece so let's admire rather than debate lol

Actually, you can't. Not on a privately owned forum. Not really the main point in this discussion, but a important one nontheless, since this is a private forum with rules made up by the owner. On another note, if you have a problem with a mod, please PM Lior Knight directly to complain. I will link him to this dicussion, and ask if we could delete these comments, since they got a bit out of hand. Perhaps you could confirm you have read the mods' posts? But as I said, if you have further complaints, please contact Lior Knight.
