Hey All I attempted a sculpt of Jensen Ackles before but I think I've managed to improve it slightly with this sculpt. I started my last sculpt years ago and only finished it last year (after returning from Uni) Anyways, i sculpted this from clay and im planning to mould in silicone and cast in resin. It isn't perfect but im pretty pleased with him. So, here's my attempt. He stands about 12" tall and is roughly half scale. He is based on a Season 6 promo for Supernatural. Thanks for looking Wayne Loose Reference (I wanted him less pouty than this) Really for the shirt and hairstyle only. I used many other images as reference for his facial expression and lips

That looks fantastic, Wayne! The lips in particular are spot-on Jensen. Can't wait to see it painted.

Thanks for the comments everyone I've been getting feedback from some of the sculptors at work (Madame Tussauds) and ive made some improvements to them both. Ive changed Deans expression to give him more angst and seriousness. I think it improves his likeness alot. I only edited his eyebrows and corners of his mouth. Hopefully these will be finished and moulded this week Wayne

Oh my God, and I thought it looked amazing before! Seriously, with the new expression, it's so Dean, especially in the later seasons with all that angsty-ness! I can't wait to see the finished product!

The new expression works really well!
Mme Tussauds, huh? The one in Baker St? I rented a flat a block from there, until recently.

Thanks for the comments everyone Im so pleased with these. I cant believe i never posted finished photos of the guys, so here they are! I recently donated a set to a charity run by Jensen Ackles, and the set was signed by the boys. So that was exciting! Cheers Wayne

The likeness of these is amazing. The paint job on both of them is absolutely perfect.

These busts are phemomenal, Wayne. It's such a talent and skill to scupt faces from scratch like that, and they have a great likeness.
I'm so proud of you! And it must have been amazing to be able to give these to the boys for their charity.
I have a small constructive critique on the painting for next time...
The features and skin tones are perfect. But I think the eyebrows on both (but particularly Jared) could be a little thicker near the nose and messier. They look a bit plucked! And I'd prefer to see a few subtle colour highlights in the hair to break up the solid colour.

Thanks for the feedback SlayerLV and Sasha ofcourse Cheers for the kind words Sasha. it was great to see them Auctioned off, they got a great price for the charity. And Becky has kindly sent me photos of the boys signing them, so im chuffed to bits! I agree totally about the eyebrows. I got so nervous painting the eyebrows, as in my experience, if they go wrong, you can never fully remove the paint and painting over them doesnt always work, so i guess i was a little to careful with them! I will thicken them up when i do my next cast of these I plan to do several variants (Demons, beaten up etc) They do have some highlights but i guess the photos washed them out. I will enhance them for next time though But thanks for the feedback, noted and put to mind Cheers Wayne
