There should be more made i know there have been previous buy a figure days etc... but i think everyone should keep trying and if they see how buffy is gaining new fans even though its over we might be able to get some new figures.
what does everyone think?

You have to order directly from DST to make them see how well the figures will sell. The problem.. almost everything is out of stock

Well crap, maybe we should try and find another method. I don't know if a petition could work, they could think that it was just blindly signed. OH, there could be a rally. Just a suggestion.

They won't touch Buffy again. DST Chuck already said in a Q&A that he didn't think the comic was popular enough to warrant figures. (It was the best selling comic book of the year, wasn't it?). And he said that a new film or new tv show would be what was needed to get his attention. He's not going to make more Buffy figures.
All we can hope for is that they will eventually let their licensing agreement run out.
Even then, no one will make figures again until the economy revives. And opinion is split between whether we're coming out of the worst recession, or heading towards another one even worse.

I could see someone else picking up the license but then they'd just start at the beginning again and once again never get to Gunn or Harm or Groo. I don't know if I need yet another line that would be lucky to make it to Xander or Giles.
Still DST backing off the license if the ONLY chance there is. The rep I talked to at Con has started getting pretty combative when you bring up Whedon properties.

What if a different company picks up the line instead of DST, like NECA or SOTA? If they want a movie to renew the series' popularity there is the Buffy movie for 2012, but I heard that it might not even involve Joss.

DST seem very much done with the line, I could see another company taking a stab at the license in time. My concern is that Buffy was so well covered that no-body would see any potential left. I'd guess we'd see a few characters based on early seasons before the line is put to rest once more. Angel as a license seems far deader, which is a shame as there are far more never-before-made characters on that list, so much so that it would be very hard to release any wave without a real crowd-pleaser.
A Buffy reboot wouldn't likely help our chances for obvious reasons.
