Haven't heard about these until the Most Wanted Collectibles newsletter I've got few minutes ago. Apparently DC Unlimited will be releasing these busts in July 2010. Each is 7.25" tall. First wave will have Eric, Bill and Sookie: Seem to go for $60 which is pricey even if the likeness remains this good.

Those likenesses are amazing! So I can understand the price tag. Is the first picture from season 2? I only recognise the actor as being in Generation Kill. Very impressed.

The likeness is great, hope they will make figures too.

Oooh! Can't wait for these. Mmmm Eric!
The likenesses look almost unreal. Do you think they are? Bill especially looks like the actor's face has been photoshopped onto the bust.

Vicks, Eric been in season 1 as well (he's the owner of Fangtasia). You might not recognize him because his look got quite changed in season 2. As for the likeness, the more I look at Bill and Eric the more it seems as if the faces been photoshoped. Is it just me? Edit: judging by Sasha's post I guess its not just me.

Yeah, the bodies have been sculpted, but the faces obviously have been photoshopped. I'm not sure if they haven't cleared the likeness rights yet or if DC Direct is still doing some tweaking before the reveal, but there's no way that's the actual face of the bust.

I like the poses. I don't collect busts, but I am glad that someone finally had the sense to grab a True Blood license for something. If these were $33 each I could see many people dropping an even hundred for all three.

Wow, those Photoshopped faces strike me as incredibly false advertising. That shouldn't be allowed.
Sales for busts like that should be through the roof, but there is no way those will look like that. I sense a great many unsold once the real faces are attached.

That's true faces are put in there, I just hope Dc direct makes figures too and they don't stick just in bust like the line of Supernatural.

If you go to the website dcdirectonline.com and look at the photos there, they say something like "Image not final. Watch dcdirectonline.com for updates", so these are not the final sculpts or supposed to be exactly what the busts look like. Looking at the photos there, to me Sookie's face looks sculpted, maybe also Eric's . But DC does awesome sculpts, so these will no doubt turn out great, unlike if Cinequest was doing them. Hope they have a second wave.

Incredibly dodgy advertisement sticking photos on the busts.
I would be very interested if they eventually do action figures, but otherwise don't really care (even though I love True Blood).
Cheers.

Lior, yeah! The actual busts look like CRAP! No WAY anyone would pay more than twelve dollars for any of them. They are terrible, especially Sookie, who looks nothing like her. They almost got Eric and Bill right, but at $75 each, they needed to be perfect, and they are not.
This ToyFair has been an almost total bust. No pun intended.

There she blows.... Ouch, what happened to Sookie and Bill? Eric is sort of passable but the other two suck! Pun definitely intended!

Here are the busts as shown on the DC Direct website... In my opinion not perfect but not bad either considering the small size I am still looking forward to seeing what the final "Bill and Sookie" statue looks like...hopefully a tad better

Those look a lot better then what we saw at Toy Fair, still not perfect, but much more then a passing resemblance, especially with Bill and Sookie.

They're not bad. Eric doesn't seem to have a good likeness, but that might just be a poor paint job. His body isi good though (ahem!). Sookie and Bill are well done.
What size are these exactly? Are they equivalent to 7" scale, or 9" or 12" at full size?

These look better, likeness is still off but not as bad as the earlier prototypes.
I guess there's still some time before we can see actual product pictures so I'd reserve my judgment till then.
