Hey All this was an idea of mine for a while, and Shiloh commissioned it. This is Buffy and Dawn from the Gift. I was suprised that no one had made this scene before its such a beautiful scene. the exchange of words between the sisters always brings a lump to my throat. So i was really excited to start this. I still have to sculpt dawns feet and construct a base. but they are almost done. id love to know what you all think. I sculpted dawns dress to be windswept. and i also sculpted their hair to be winswept. insted of having their hair blowing in uniform directions. i took inspiration from the portal/vortex thing and had the wind sweeping AROUND them, causing their hair to blow in different directions... Buffy is made from a Joyce body, OMWF Buffy head and Anyank arms (sanded down and hands repositioned) Dawn is made frm a OMWF Dawn torso and head, Gift Dawn arms and Willow legs. I also made dawn a SMIDGE smaller than buffy, just to emphasis the older/younger sister relationship Im hoping to get these painted today, so keep an eye out Wayne

She is perfect, Wayne! WOW. Not only the best Dawn I've seen, but one of my favorites ever from you. The sculpt is great, but what really brings her to life is that paint job. She looks so realistic. The tear is a great effect. Can't wait to see this set finished.

Holy cow, she's a real beauty!! VERY realistic paintjob, the tear stain was a great touch. I'm sure this set will look amazing when it's finished. Lucky Shiloh!!!

That is extraordinary. But isn't Dawn's dress a little dark?
Maybe I'm wrong, it was a while since I saw the gift.
EDIT- Nope, I checked, it's the right shade.

Just beautiful, Wayne! One of your best ever! I love everything about this Dawn. The face, the hair, the posture (the wilting stance and little turned in feet), the dress detail. Gorgeous sculpting and painting.
And Buffy's looking great so far as well.

Beyond Beautiful Wayne. One of your all time best. Just from your initial sculpt, I could tell this duo is going to be picture perfect, the body language, even in that state, is unmistakable. I cannot wait to see this finished. I am going to sneak into Shiloh's house and take it!!!!!
So Good To Have You Back. Annette

Hey all thanks for the superb comments im very pleased with Dawn. And its for that reason that ive decided to NOT attach buffy to her. im thinking, if the buyer would like to display her on her own, its still possible to do that. Ive finished buffy. they slot together pefectly, but i still need to construct the base I painted her still facing dawn, but looking to the side, wide eyed, as she remembers the First Slayers message "Death is your gift" Im very pleased with this set, im gonna try to make the base light up, but i need to find the right parts first. when i do, ill post a photo of them together Id love to know what you think Wayne PS. sorry about the crude photos, i will take new ones asap

When are you gonna put them 2gether? hey, I think you need to read his whole message....lol anyways, i love them both. btw what's the base going to be? is it going to be like the custom you made of Buffy from bargaininng about to jump of the tower again? bc that would be cool!
