Recently I had the Pleasure of seeing the traveling Broadway production of "Wicked". I absolutely loved the musical, everything from the story to the costumes and artistic stage design was Awesome. One of my favorite scenes was the appearance of Glinda. she descended from the ceiling in a huge platform that looked like a hybrid between the inner workings of a clock and a bubble. Hidden bubble machines located on either side of the huge platform added even more to this effect from that moment I was in total awe of the art direction and design. Here is my humble interpretation of that scene. for those who have seen the show please note that for illustration purposes I did simplify the design of the bubble slightly so that the drawing would capture the feeling of the scene and not be too cluttered original size 11" x 14" drawn with prismacolor color pencils with white acrylic highlights on Strathmore colored paper as always I appreciate constructive comments and feedback so Please let me know what you think Wicked and all related properties are copyrighted by Universal Pictures and their related subsidiaries
"Wicked" is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire
The Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum

I love love love Wicked! I saw it in the West End in London two years ago- its amazing in every aspect! Great work Scotty- you've really captured that fun and airy characteristic of Glinda, she looks very pretty. I'd love to see your interpretation of "Defying Gravity"
