OMG, no freaking way. I'm so excited....I'm a huge twilight fan! I actually just bought a twilight hoodie today. I don't know if I'm happy about NECA having them, since their likeness tend to be more comic than realistic, but I'm so happy at the thought of just getting figures!
OMG, the movie is only like 2 weeks away XD I'm going with a crap load of co-workers to the premiere at midnight.

I know that it is Bella and Edward for sure. Same with Tonner.
There may be a couple more figures for NECA. But they may just test it with Edward and Bella.

I saw this pic a few weeks ago & many had thought it was a Mezco product due to the big head & oddly proportioned body. Neca are usually very good with proportions, that I have seen anyway. I'm very glad to seeing them using more standard articulation these days anyway. I actually love Tonner's style. Very different to other companies & I think that's the aspect I love the most, they are something different. And quite beautiful IMO, especially the tailoring of their outfits. Check out their new Luna Lovegood: www.tonnerdoll.com/harrypotter.htm

I agree Artistix. People don't give Tonner enough credit. Tonner is actually a really great doll company. They use the best quality brand stuff and everything. (hair, material, etc.) I know that some of their likenesses are not the best. But, Tonner makes the dolls the way he sees them. I know, it says made to look like so and so. I really don't believe that. Tonner adds his own artistic touch to the dolls he makes, even the character ones.
Yes, they are pricey, but totally worth it.
And yes, Luna looks FANTASTIC! I can not wait to have her sitting on my shelf.
The Twilight figures will be out late 2008 or early 2009. I am betting on early 2009.
I'm also pretty sure that all characters will be made eventually. They just need to see if the line does well.
Though, I think they should make a large first wave, not only including Edward and Bella. Of course Edward and Bella will sell well. They need to put in other characters to see how they sell too.

Yeah I also agree that Tonner does make beautiful sculptures/dolls. Does anyone one when the Tilight merchandise by Tonner will be released?

www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/13983Inside you can check out the first action figure from the Twilight toy line coming soon from NECA. Inside you can check out Edward Cullen, the first image to be "released" from NECA's TWILIGHT 7 inch action figure line. The rest of the core characters are still awaiting approval, so it is too soon to tell who is coming first and exactly when. With a November 21st, 2008 release date, we hope the movie company and all parties concerned take pity on our NECA buds so they can crank the figures out in a timely manor! NECA will also be making key chains, T Shirts, posters and other accessories across the board, similar to what's been done with past licenses.

Neca is always fresh and the joints looks different this time, I hope they change the joints on the arms, since that joints aren't too strong like other kind of them.

I hope that they all get approved, I LOVE Neca's figures! I was so upset with the Sin City line, cuz the first line was so amazing, but Clive and Bennicio didnt sign off to let them make action figures so the second series, as beautiful as it was, lacked testosterone! I just really want James, Emmette and Rosalie! Hopefully they'll all be within the first two lines!

Honestly I wouldn't get tooo excited about NECA having the license ... They have been dropping the ball a lot lately, and people aren't too happy about it.
If you follow multiple licenses by them, the paint apps have gotten very bad ... which is ironic because NECA was one of the few companies to really step it up when the factories were turning out shit, even to their own loss.
Also, once being a company that released new information and talked to their fans a lot via myspace, they have been pretty silent for months now ... several lines and licenses that were supposed to come out, or coming out soon, but no one knows anything about that's going on .... Harry Potter, a few horror figures, and I guess Twilight included - which the movie due out soon, and all the buzz, we should at least know when the figure is coming out.
I really love NECAs work, and this they are/were a great fan company, but it seems they are going the way of DST or McFarlane..

I'm not sure why no one knows about the Harry Potter NECA line...I will go write up a report with it in the HP section. We know pretty much everything for HP.
And we do have a time gap release date. Late 2008 or early 2009. So, most likely in December or January.
I'm not sure why the paint apps are bad. They changed factories to make them better just last year/early this year.
Also, the economy sucks. There are going to be some changes in the companies. NECA may be deciding right now which lisences they need to drop in order to stay above this. I have a feeling that this is why they have been so silent. They are trying to figure out which way they need to move the company so they can survive.
I am the type of personality that thinks: "I don't care when I get it, as long as I get it. And if I don't, oh well. Time to move on to what is next on my list." Sure, I'll be a little upset if a line is canceled, but I know it is in the best interest for the company who can continue making a different line I like.
I don't think NECA will drop the Twilight lisence because of the fan base. I also think they will want to make them as perfect as they can, again, because of the fan base. I have a feeling that Twilight will be one of their leading lisences.
