Hi everyone i just bought a screen used stake on ebay. there does not come a certficate with it but im pretty sure that it is real cause it looks very detailed and i know that this seller sold authentic stakes before, he said it was used on ebay but bu in my opinion it could have been used on buffy too because it looks like the stake she used in season three, only darker. id like to know in wich episode it was used so it would be great if someone could post the name of the episode or even stills were it can be seen. by the way, i got it for 170$. thank everyone:)

I can easily make one of those and sell it on Ebay.
Maybe you should have gotten one with a CoA.

Yes, you always have to watch out for 'supposed' props without COA's. It's always best to buy one with it. But remember that COA's are just a piece of paper, and it would be easy for the seller to just make one themselves. That's why it's always best to buy a prop with a Fox COA, because you know those are for sure authentic.
It's really easy to make stakes like that. I'm sure my Grandpa and my Uncle could make one of those very easily.
You really don't know that it's an authentic stake or not unless it came directly from the Fox warehouse. Just because a seller claims it's authentic doesn't mean it is. Sorry to say it but you probably got duped.

Sorry to tell you this but the seller you bought it from sells fake stake props. I think you should protest your money back, as that is a lot of money for a piece of wood. NEVER buy a prop unless you are buying it with a COA from Fox, or from one of the cast members.

Hi, the seller said it was made of wood. i know i cant be completely sure weather it is real or not but i tried to make stakes like these in the past and i know that it is really hard to give an aged look to the wood like you can see it in the picture i have posted. i didnt receive the stake yet, i guess i will see if it is real when i get it:)

If it looks like a stake then it is a stake, but whether it is a screen used prop depends on authentication. Also, not too sure on this one but I read that none of the actual stakes were made from wood, they used a soft material to make them just incase of any accidents on set.
