* Mods, if this is in the wrong section, sorry. Please move if so.
Hey guys, so I just ordered the Summers' Family Album and the Watcher's 3 pack last week, and they should arrive sometime this week. Anywho...I was just wondering who on here already has these figures and if you were happy with them? Any review or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I have wanted the family album for a long time, so hopefully I will be happy with it. I usually open my figures, with the exception of a few, but I think the family album is packaged so beautifully that I don't know if I want to open it really. If you have it, did you open it, or leave it packaged?

I love both sets.
I think that the Summers set is really great out of the box. It does have the feel of being in the Summers house. But what is weird is that Dawn is much taller than Joyce and towers over Buffy. If you take them out of the box, I kind of think that JOyce's head looks better on Dawn's body and Dawn's on Joyce's body, if you would do a head swap.
The Watcher's set is perfect exactly as is.

The great thing about the 'book' figures is you can open them and put the figures back in if you want. It's a nice feature.

I really think they should have used Glory's torso from the Gift set and Dawns legs to make Joyce. I don't understand why they used Willow's body... I also would have like them to either have a different variant of Buffy using one of the better head sculpts or that they had put more effort into the Buffy vs. Dracula variant in the set. Actually I think it would have been best if they had made all three of them from the same episode... Still I love the set and I continue to be shocked that DST released a Joyce in any form.

Those two boxsets could have been better but I like them, especially the watcher's one. What I like : - The beautiful boxes - Joyce head : good likeness and great hair. - Dawn ponytail : well done - Summers base, and especially the mask - Giles figure : better than the Chosen one. The likeness is not perfect, but it's more here. I also like the that this Giles looks enough like a Library Giles to put it in the playset. - Spike / Randy Giles is really a funny figure, and well sculpted and painted. - Wesley has a better paintjob than the previous ones, and I like the torso and arms. However, the figure would have more interesting without the beard because we have 3 others Wesley figures with the same head. - Watcher's base and accessories
What I dislike : - the Buffy vs Dracula Buffy figure is the most awful of all the Buffy figures because of the choices of parts and the paintjob. I like my Buffybot figure (has a good paintjob) but the choice of this head for the BVD Buffy figure is not good. - The choice of Wilow body for Joyce is really bad, like that Dawn looks like a giant. I'm agree that Glory torso with Dawn pants would have been a lot better.
I'm agree that I would like to have more new head sculpts (we have only Joyce and Giles), and new body sculpts (especially for the Summers album), but I still like them.
If only DST could give us a new Willow album the 3 unreleased deluxe figures. I'm sure this one would sell better than the previous one because they are more interesting choices and really different from what we have seen before.
