Cool beans, I've restricted myself with these 5" figures only planing on getting:
1. Dr 1-11 box set 2. Sarah Jane 3. Rose 4. Donna 5. Amy 6. Rory 7. Martha 8. A Dalek 9. Jack 10. Ianto 11. Gwen 12. Astrid
And since I've only watched the 2005 season and half of season 1 of Torchwood I hope I can keep to this list lol.

There's a re-release of the Companions Boxset sometime in near future: Seems you'd be able to get most of your want list crossed off with this.

Thats perfect! I'll wait for that then! I love box sets haha. Hopefully not too long in the near future.
Wait... So they are ending the 5" line completely and only doing a 3.75" line? Why would they do that? Are people pissed off about this?

Some are others happy about the change. CO think that majority of kids prefer the small scale and for them those kids are their market. Classic remain 5" because its aimed at collectors. Silly because IMO the 5" line wasn't doing so well because of very poor characters choice (constant re-releases with silly variants such as 11th Doc with a beard in several forms). Now they released a whole new line with better choice and think it sells well because of the scale.

Toys are wasted on the kids.
I would love to get into the old series so hopefully I'll big up a few here and there. Hopefully we at least get the new Doctor in the 5" line as an exclusive or something.

Not sure how they can think the figures have sold well - the stores here are still over clogged with the old ones. Anyone want a hundred Francesco the Vampires at all?? TRU have the 'new' Doctor and Dalek sets but even they are an overpriced rehash. IMO the new ones look awful and are a bit of an insult really. And with a new Doctor on the way it's a shame we probably won't get 'him/her/it' in the 5" scale!

The first 3 3/4" figures have arrived, and they're... meh. Decent but not great articulation, fair likenesses for the size, but a ways off the quality you'd expect from Star Wars figures, let alone collector-quality figures in the same scale.
I'll admit they're better than the first two waves of 5" figures were back in the day - the original Tenth Doctor with the big head and tiny feet. But, grr, I really wish they hadn't canned the original line.
Oh well.

That's to bad about the new 5" figures -.- wish the didn't waste figure on non needed characters that we got and made some of e fan favs instead. :/ so are the new 5" ones only going to focus on the eps? Dd the company release some kind of statement for why they did it? Anyone got any yet?

The common state is that the modern series line lost its appeal to big retailers so in order to gain it back they are shifting to a much more popular scale - 3.75". The classic line was always aimed at collectors so they are sticking with the 5" scale. As for the new figures - out of curiosity I ordered 4 of those: 11th Doctor, Clara, Cyberman and Ice Warrior. They are very tiny but out of four, 3 are quite nice in person. The only issues I've had were with 11th Doctor which had horrid paintjob and CO replaced my figure. However the new one still has very little likeness to Matt Smith. In other news; there was an auction on eBay for Regen 4th Doctor: So looks like we're about to get a new classic release.

We're getting a (presumably 5" scale) Ace! Guess they can have some of my money this year after all.

Peri / Cyberman 2 pack is the only classic figures I own beside the doctors. I tried watching the old series and I have a lot of episodes taped that I really need to watch soon. River is still on her wait and the only ones I still want are Micky and the Master, so I wouldn't mind a young Sarah Jane if they make her. Also the doctors granddaughter ..... And his daughter too, but that ship has sailed That Ace figure looks cool haha. What's her story? Lol
