I just won a Series 1 Rose and Weeping Angel off eBay. I'm so excited to get that Series 1 Rose to add to my Series 1 shelf right next to my action stance 9th Doctor! They were only $9.00 each. I didn't have any competition, I think, because the seller didn't accept paypal. Generally I skip auctions that I have to send a Money Order for but the price was too good and the seller was in America so I decided to go for it and it payed off. I got the Weeping Angel because the auction was up 4 minutes after Rose and no one had bid on it so I went a head and bid since I was already going to be sending the guy a Money Order and he said he would combine shipping. I'm still looking for Jack and the Empty Child...or even just the Empty Child by himself! eBay seems to be all out So if anyone has a spare they would like to sell please let me know

I got the rose and dr in the post today. LOVE them!
so cute.
although lack of arm articulation on rose is annoying.

I wonder how articulated the sontarans will be, since the armour doesn't seem to lend itself well to too much. The Director of Sculpting for DesignWorks actually stated on the Doctor Who Forum that the Sontarans will be the most articulated figures yet including ball-joints at the shoulders and feet and several other new types of joints as well!

I had a mini ebay haul arrive today. 12" NSD for £12 inc postage, still working so bonus. I also got, and it was lsited as not working, the Chrome 12" Movie Dalek - about £15 IIRC.
And tomorrow I'm picking up Jack in his flasher mac from Sci-Fi collector!!!!
Yay to the rrival of ball joints in the Who range - about bloody time. Just wait for the OG naysayers to bitch and moan about ruining the sculpts.

I wonder if it will cross over to Donna & the rest...or is it just the Sontarans? Interesting to hear every figure will include an accessory. I'd imagine they will give Donna some Adipose....atleast I would like them to give her some. I don't want to buy several Doctor figures just to have a small Adipose army.

great minds think a like... Ha ha I concur. Here she is all finished! More pics over at the customs board! Great figures guys - now did you sculpt her with or without the lisp??? AHAHA yeh I noticed that, wtf has happened to billie piper over the past 2 years...she cant talk!! The only thing I can think of is that she got vineers. Because I remember when Hilary Duff got vineers they were a little too big and she came on a talk show and talked different, just like Billie. Still, Billie was amazing in Turn Left and still looks gorgeous since now her lips look even fuller ha ha.

Chaos, that custom is absolutely beautiful. And I'm not usually a fan of customs at all.
Oh, & damn you for showing it to me...

Hi Barb,
I don't know US wise. Are WhoNA doing them?
Also guys, there are new photos on doctorwhoforum (what was wrong with OG?) but there is a specific request to not distribute them as they are for 'locals' only. So head over to the new toys and merchandise thread over there.

WhoNA don't do Pre-orders. But even so, they confirmed ordering series 4 assortment so we'd be able to get those there with no problem.

WHAT? After THAT episode, this thread is completely quiet? I know this isn't the episodes thread, and we're still three episodes behind in America, but geez. What are the new figures pictured over on the other forum? When are the other announced figures coming pre-Series IV characters, like the Old Doctor and Jack without coat? I don't know what Character Options is doing with this license. It seems like they've sat around for almost a year and released nothing. I mean, why did they release a series III set during Series IV, and when are those figures coming out? I MUST HAVE Donna ASAP. What's the retail situation like in Britain for Doctor Who? Still strong? Which characters are clogging the pegs, and which are never in stores? Are the Angels selling well? I'm planning a Comic-Con list and right at the top: Weeping Angel, Screaming Angel, new Jack and the Flight Control TARDIS. I want that one really bad. I've been SO GOOD with not getting into the Doctor Who figures, but Catherine Tate has finally broken that dam. I liked the show before her, as I got into it while I was living in Britain and Billie Piper had just left, but now with Donna I LOVE the show. I have both Doctors, Mickey, Martha and Rose, and I want more! Oh, and final question: Which Ten has the best headsculpt? I have the first 10th Doctor in trenchcoat figure and the likeness is good, but doesn't capture Ten's manic side well enough. Which has the best likeness of Tennant? The spacesuit figures?
