It looks like Mattel is following the original "Eight Back" release (that is, releasing the exact figures from the initial release of figures in the 80's).
As such, Teela should be *seen* fairly shortly. First we'll be seeing Skeleton (on the cover of August's Toy Fare apparently) and Stratos (at he-man.org sometime after Skeletor is seen).
From fuzzy memory, the original "eight" also included Man-At-Arms and Teela so they should be seen after Skeletor and Stratos.
If they keep following the initial release, then Faker, Tri-Klops, Trap-Jaw, Evil-Lyn, man-E-Faces and Ram Man would be next. BUT I don't know whether they would deny fans She-Ra and Hordak for that long (since they're being released at the rate of one figure per month).
Cheers.

The Eight-Back Card: www.dukenostalgia.com/He-Man/8backbox_Motu.htmlGiven that all the "shown" figures match the eight-back exactly, I'm guessing this is what Teela will end up looking like. Not so sure about the furry boot cuffs and white gauntlets, but hopefully the Four Horsemen will make it look decent. Also, as respectful as the 4H are being of the original eight-back, in certainly instances I'd like to see them take a little liberty with the designs. For example, Zodak's flesh coloured arm gauntlets just look weird. They could at least colour his arm and gauntlets "grey" to "match" his boots and yet still remain somewhat faithful to the original eight-back. I would have thought his actual "feet" should be grey as well, since I doubt he'd find "grey" boots that fit so exactly. Cheers.

Hey, thanks for posting that Duke Nostalgia page. I've been looking for years for a site with all that MOTU box art. I missed the KG on mattycollector.com, so I went to ebay to get mine. I still have yet to win an auction, but that's the nature of the beast. Hopefully, Mattel makes enough of these figures so you don't have to take a day off work to sit at home and order these when they go on the site.

Skeletor! I like it. The original Skeletor was my very first action figure, so I'm in for this one.

The SDCC Greyskull figure is a beauty. I am soo stoked about this line. Cannot wait to see what comes! A friend from Playtrek bought this for me from SDCC, luckily...as Mattel will not be shipping the set with electronics to Australia & the electronic features are very cool.

No 200x for you.Well, that kinda sucks. That was my greatest hope for this line. I'm sorry, I just don't have any faith in Mattel making this line last that long.

I read about this in Toyfare. Looks cool- hope they don't cancel the line after a couple of figures

the fan support from what I have read does not seem to be very high for this line...so hopefully it does well....but $20 a figure plus shipping I just dont know about....

I'm going to buy them.
I am a fan, but not like I am of Buffy or Trek. I saw a bit when I was younger because my brother really liked it. He had a lot of the figures & playsets & vehicles. But it didn't interest me back then.
I became really interested with the 200x line & series. Though I have seen a bit of the Classic He-Man & She-ra on pay TV over the last few years.
So I'm not a big enough fan to be annoyed by Skeletors feet or whatever else is bad.
The fans do seem to be unhappy with the way the line is looking but, it is what Mattel said it would be. I gather people didn't think they meant it soo literally.
I have to support this line...the idea of getting Queen Marlena & Captain Adora will keep me going! ;D

I'm in for He-Man and Skeltor as a minimum.
Depending on how they turn out and if/when they are released, I'll also be grabbing Man-at-Arms, Trap-Jaw, Teela and Evil-Lynn. Hordak and She-Ra are also "must buys" but I'm thinking that with the current release schedule (one figure per month), I've got quite a wait before either of those figures will be released (especially as I'm assuming they're doing the original "12-back" first, which in addition to the 8-back also includes Trap-Jaw, Evil-Lynn, Ram Man and someone else who's name escapes me).
I completely understand where the "negative" comments are coming from. I was also hoping for more of a "mix" between the "classic" designs and the 200X designs. Basically, I thought they would be 200X "designs" but retro-fitted to the more "classic" aesthetic (with the use of shared parts, etc). Mattel simply appears to be interested in re-doing the "classic" figures in an identical manner to the original artwork/card back designs, which I'm learning to appreciate.
Cheers.

And hope they do get around to in the future. But I still like the way they are doing it. Or, as you said Haeph, I'm learning to appreciate it. ;D

So, yesterday was the big day. He-Man and Beast Man are up for purchase on mattycollector.com. I'm broke, so I haven't ordered them, and I don't know if I'll be able to this Friday, since the Dark Knight DVD comes out next Tuesday.
Man, the $20 price point is a little too much for me to commit. It's why I don't buy Star Wars vehicles or Evolutions sets. I suppose I'll order He-Man, and if I like it, I'll try to get a Beast Man later.

Received my He-Man for Xmas (well, before Xmas but I saved him until then).
Not overly impressed. The joints on He-Man's hips and ankles are particularly weak and it makes it difficult to stand him even in the most "vanilla" or basic or boses, yet alone any action poses as the super-articulation should allow.
Also, the paint is pretty sloppy for such an expensive figure. BUT to be fair, I typically buy off the shelf for that very reason and while most of my collection may be "perfect" (or close to it) in my eyes, it was probably only due to the fact I hand-picked the paint-jobs on the figures. Still, the paint is pretty sloppy for such an expensive figure.
Finally, I'm pretty sure my two "boots/shin" pieces are identical which means that He-Man has two right shins and which also means that the "left" shin piece doesn't fit the foot piece properly which adds to the weak/unstable ankle issues.
All in all, for so much money (around $65.00 (AUS) including shipping), I do NOT find the figure to be value for money. I was really disappointed with how quickly I got bored with the figure and stuck it on a shelf (leaning against something to prevent the inevitable falling-over drunk debacle due to the weak ankles). In comparison, I picked up the ML Hasbro - Hercules for $5.00 (AUS) recently and played/posed it for ages and reluctantly put it on display because it was such an excellent figure overall.
I'll grab Skeletor, but I think that will be about it. I may be tempted by She-Ra and Hordak, but that's it.
Cheers.

Received my He-Man and Beast Man today. I must have gotten lucky, since I have tight joints and crisp paint on both of them.
I can't put them down. I might have to dig out one of my Grayskull castles to display these in front of. That is, if I can leave them alone long enough to display them.
Possibly the best $50 I've spent on toys in years.
