If this is being released in June then it must be pretty far into production. This is a fun little treat for us. I didn't have much interest in the full sized prop replica but this is right up my ally.

I think it's a good idea since alot of people really can't afford the full scale prop.

Now that is awesome! Definitely a must have for me! ;D Edit: Just checked, since the original was 36" long this one is just a bit bigger than what the 1:4 scale Scythe should be (9.25") so it would look wicked with the PF Buffy figure.

I like it, its nice, not too expensive and would work great with PF Buffy Yey, I can finally get a replica scythe! I wasn't allowed the full sized one in the house See, this is why they should release a plastic full sized prop replica of the Slayers Scythe. Just because it wouldnt be metal, doesnt mean it cant look like it! *adds to lists of customs props* Mwahahaha lol Wayne

I definately have to get one, I just hope that the Premium Format figure can hold it. I wonder what made them decide to do this.

It worries me that only cinequest have it listed, but it doesn't mention being an exclusive, and I haven't seem it listed in Previews. Also the write-up makes it sound like Factory X is releasing it, but they don't hold the prop license anymore and aren't in business. I wish more information about this would surface, or another store would list it. It almost seems to perfect/great to be real. It has to be DST releasing it off Factory X's original sculpt and the write-up just words it funny. But even if DST are releasing it, that's also not great news since they have a shit track record with prop replicas. EDIT: BCC has this item listed now: yhst-14329185242624.stores.yahoo.net/bumislscprre.html (if your a member) Still lists Factory X as releasing it but has it listed as being in stock in April.

I know Factory X had new management went Palisades went under and that they dropped the license. After that DST came in. Since Factory X is making this, does that mean Factory X has the license again? Did DST drop the Buffy prop license, or does this somehow fit into a third property (e.g. jewelry, props, and scaled replicas)?

Since Factory X is making this, does that mean Factory X has the license again? Did DST drop the Buffy prop license, or does this somehow fit into a third property (e.g. jewelry, props, and scaled replicas)? I'm thinking DST is releasing it as a distributer, but since it's just a scaled down version of the original Factory X prop they get the credit for it? Or maybe Factory X DID make this scaled version back in the day along with the full size one, but it was never made public, so again they get the credit for doing the work. It would be odd if Factory X bought the license back and we had heard nothing about it. Even though DST isn't very vocal when it comes to the Buffy stuff, they haven't given indication of the prop license being up for grabs. I just hope everything is on the up and up with this. I'd like to hear something from DST about it, since they are the last we know to hold the prop license. And scaled or not, I would think this still fits into a prop replica license.
