The second arc of our bestselling Season Eight starts here. Top creator Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man; Pride of Baghdad; Lost) takes over writing duties and dives headlong into what Faith is up to-infiltration, assassination, and nonstop Cleveland. The fugitive Slayer is given the assignment that could change her life . . . if Giles's specialized training doesn't make her want to end it first. Artist Georges Jeanty (The American Way) remains at the top of his game--and Joss Whedon stays on as Executive Producer--in this first part of "No Future for You."Pub. Date: Sep 05, 2007 8.06 hits the standsSo we pretty quickly establish the new villain as rightly villainous. And we have a cameo appearance from a couple of British SF characters (see one of the biggest threads in Pylea for the figures of the same) on the second last page. And... Faith in a ballgown. Oh my.

SPOILERS! I really liked this first part! It was great to see Faith and Wood again and to see Giles and Faith talking. The beginning with her sitting at the top of the statue was cool and the rope swing was cool too. I also noticed that Faith said "exes", so I guess nothing ever cam out of their relationship, but I didn't think that it would, Faith's always been a loner. The bit with the vamp kids was cool. We've never seen a big group of them like that in the Buffyverse before. Lady Genevieve Savidge seems like a cool villain. The fact that that Irish warlock has her hunt and kill humans like that is just madness! But it's a cool storyline, and the warlock had a book with the twilight symbol on it. When Faith stabbed Giles and they had that talk about Giles' past, I thought that was a nice way for them to find that they have a bit in common. Buffy and Xander's talk was nice to see in this issue. I just don't want them to get together, I think that they are better off as friends, although seeing as he's the only guy Buffy sees everyday then I don't blame her since she said it's been a "slow year". And hearing about Buffy's dream was cool. The end with Faith in that green dress was funny, with Giles lowering his glasses saying "five by five" as he looked at her. Loved it lol. And did anyone else see the 2 people that were standing by a telephone box that looked like The Doctor and Rose? I thought that was funny lol! This is a fantastic start to the arc, love it! Bring on October 3rd!

best issue yet!!! SPOILERS This is definitely my favorite issue. I wonder if Wood knew the kids were vamps? I doubt Faith did but it makes you wonder. The whole way they did it was very ambiguous. I loved seeing Wood and Giles. I wasnt too big on the Buffy/Xander scene. I didnt see the point of it besides throwing them in there. The issue would have been fine with Faith alone Giles training Faith is brilliance. Hopefully this is what she needs to become better adjusted. I wonder what Buffy would say if she knew? I cant believe I have to wait until Oct 3rd for the next part. And another 2 months for the story to be finished. this is painful

I agree that this is the best issue so far. I'm not a big fan of Faith, but this seems like a perfect storyline for the character. I'm really looking forward to the next issue. I hope that people didn't give up on the comic after the 5th issue (not that I had a problem with it...it just wasn't anything special) because it seems like things are really heating up.

Loved it can't wait for the next. Had to look again to see the doctor and rose outside the box, thanks slayer489 for pointing that out you have good eyes. so IS FAITH PREGGERS? ?? Wood asked her is she still I think Faith is going to turn out to be Frays Great great great great grandmother. I just wish they made this whole season into a t.v show its brilliant I liked how giles and faith had the talk about the follys of youth. I think this is going to be the end of faith this season, Joss is not known for his happy ever after story lines, one more job then she can retire with kid, this isn't going to happen.

does anyone else reckon that was the doctor and rose then? lol. I do! Joss has mentioned influence from doctor who with ideas behind Ripper etc...you never know. Also GREAT episode! It felt more buffyish as it wasnt so over the top as the first issues, not that I didnt like those first issues. Im not to keen on some of the art work on faith though. a lot of the itme her face looks really mutated, not horrific or anything and he does get it right in some of the panels but in a lot of them i look at it and think urgh! Giles was great though. Loved the end.

I agree they screwed up Faiths face more than a few times.
And I dont think she is pregnant...that could have been referring to anything.

Did Genevieve kill Amanda (a potential from Season 7 played by actress Sarah Hagan)? Looks like her to me.

I personally dont think that looks anything like Amanda. And since she was one of the ones who died in Chosen, I dont think Genevieve killed her...unless she was brought back from the dead only to die again. Which doesnt make much sense.

Whoever she was, she was very messed up looking. Yeah at first I thought they were going to draw all of the people with bobbleheads like faith appears to have, but I guess its just Faith they are doing that to. That's a small quibble though - great issue.

I finally got my hands on this issue and boy that was a good read. So cool to finally see where Faith is nowadays, and I like the interaction between her and Giles. Both were written very well. BTW, as James mention, I totally recognized the "Doctor Who" reference with the young gentleman in a brown suit and coat and a blond girl next to him with red phone booth behind them. So cool! ;D
