I don't know how many of you have seen this over at SlayAlive, but if you haven't, it's time that you do. I mean...it's pretty fucking amazing! Written by Joss Whedon, art by Georges Jeanty, colored by Andy Owens, cover by Jo Chen. Since the destruction of the Hellmouth, the Slayers -- newly legion -- have gotten organized and are kicking some serious undead butt. But not everything's fun and firearms, as an old enemy reappears and Dawn experiences some serious growing pains. Meanwhile, one of the "Buffy" decoy slayers is going through major pain of her own. Buffy creator Joss Whedon brings Buffy back to Dark Horse in this direct follow-up to season seven of the smash-hit TV series. The bestselling and critically acclaimed issues 1-5 are collected here for the first time, as are their covers by Jo Chen and Georges Jeanty. 136 pages, $15.95, in stores on Nov. 14. -CMK

That is breath taking! I'm going to have to pick this up for that cover alone.
I truely think the only thing better then having a Buffy Season 8 are Jo's covers. Her artwork really captures the essense of the buffyverse and the characters.

I did see this over at SlayAlive and all I can say is WOW! This is gorgeous! The likenesses of Buffy, Xander and Willow are magnificent! I also love the helicopters and the slayers in the background. It's brilliant!

WOW! This is officially my favorite comic book cover so far! Just for this I'm gonna get the TPB! I hope we'd see a nicer HQ version as well.

This is cool. I prefer TPB, rather than loads of single issues. November is rather a long time away though

I love this cover so freaking much! I have seen it before though. I never really got into Buffy or Angel comics until I heard Season Eight was going to come in comic book form. Now I've read a lot of TPBs, and I own The Death of Buffy and Autumnal. I also have different covers for all of Season Eight so far and I have Angel: Aud Lang Syne (I know i spelled something wrong) issues 1 and 2.

What the Heck is a TPB? What does it have in it? I believe TPB stands for Trade Paperback. It's a compilation of a number of comic issues into one Paperback volume. This one will cover the 5 issue story arc that Joss wrote, called The Long Way Home. I presume that the next will be the Faith arc.

Here is what I believe the cover for the second volume (Faith Arc) looks like. Jo Chen has it posted on her Myspace page.
