LOL. Yeah...I keep his phone number in my back pocket in case of emergencies...LOL. Even if we did know how to contact him, I'm sure he wouldn't tell us...it takes away from the mystery of it all!

Don't get me wrong, I like the mystery of it all, it's just frustrating not knowing whats going on. But knowing Joss he'll tell all in the end.

Wait 2 months, oh come on it's bad enough having to wait 1. Love this issue, glad warren and amy live to rule another day. what is the twilight? is it a person, thing or event, I think its got something to do with the demon that was put in the first ever slayer. Love the idea slayers against humanity but I reckon there's a way or a specific time when all the slayers will lose there powers for a brief moment and that is when the army will attack. Also hope warren goes to visit Andrew, love a good reunion.

that will be when she had him strapped to the trees in season six, Willow said "bored now", right before she flayed him. That wasn't the part that didn't make sense to me. I caught the "bored now" reference, but Warren said some other stuff before that that didn't make sense to me. ah, i havent got this issue yet, i just thought that was what was confusing you lol.

I just assumed it meant Warrens human life was over when Willow skinned him, he was going to die and was only kept alive through magical means hence the first could take the human form of Warren. This theory could explain it. Although, Warren didn't actually die. Amy's magic keeps him alive. He calls it his human life because he feels like he isn't human anymore, when really he is still human, just living off of magics. I think I'm still gonna stick with the zombie thing until we get an official explanation from Joss. Does anyone have any way of contacting him to ask questions like these? Zombie?? I dunno that seems kinda, i dunno tacky or something. I think its quite simple and explained just as Joss wrote it. His HUMAN life was over. He's not a human any more. A part of him, maybe not his physical pressence died and hence the first evil can appear as him. I dont think the first could appear as him all fleashy and gross however. Its a bit wanky but thats the retcon explaination.

Even though his 'human' life is over I still don't understand why The First can appear as him, with or without skin, as his 'spirit', his soul, didn't leave his body. I don't think it can be explained to me I just can't grasp it.

Well, the First appeared to Spike as Buffy, and even though Buffy has died, she wasn't dead at the time. And obviously Buffy's soul/spirit was in her body at the time.
I'm just not going to read too much into it. Discrepancies and other nonsense are disappointing, but I try to not let them ruin my enjoyment of the Buffyverse.

I think the idea is Warren is on life support and amys' magic is like the machiene, technically he's dead not being able to preform mandatory life preserving tasks. example your brain dead and a machiene is breathing for you, your body is still living but technically you as a person are dead, well that's my theory.

They are both interesting points BillyBudd and dhoffryn. I like the theory about being brain dead and life-support. And BillyBudd, I try not to let things like this ruin the Buffyverse for me but they irritate me a lot. And also since The First can appear as Buffy even though she's still alive now and can appear as vampires who are "undead", Warren is sort of undead, as he doesn't look human and is living off of Amy's magic, so you could say he was undead. I guess The First can work around things like that. P.S, my 1000th post! Woo!

Wait! I have a new theory! (Sorry if I'm starting to annoy anyone). Willow skinned Warren. Amy, whilst watching over Willow, teleported Warren to her and used magic to stop him from crossing over. Well, what if Warren half crossed over. Imagine, his spirit has half left his body and half hasn't. So Amy used that half that was alive to pull the half that was out back into his body, causing a part of him to have "died", and to cause him to still be alive. This would have allowed The First to appear as him. Very confusing, you may need to read it a few times to digest it.

Finally got my copy of issue #4 (thanks to TFAW.com I even got the variant cover instead ;D). I agree it felt a bit rushed but overall it concluded a great season opening; I can't wait to see how it would resolve into humans vs slayer. Kudos to Joss for creating a very convincing explanation for Warren's appearance and for Amy's actions in season 7. I also loved the Willow-Buffy connection and the dynamics of between the characters. Can't wait for issue #5!
