I was thinking it would be cool if Amys BF is Caleb, we know that Amy can reanimate the dead, maybe she brought back his two halves and he's all corpseified and gross... It would really interesting to see woman hatin' Caleb with a honey. Plus everyone know Joss has a big man crush on Nathan Fillion so why not bring back his character

Isn't Rack dead? I thought Willow killed him.

I'm thinking Amy's "boyfriend" is a giant mutated rat! Makes sense to me, especially after the "cheese" comment in Issue 1.
As for Xander and Buffy - ahhhhh, no. I love Xander, and I think he is definitely brave, loyal and true, and I know he really loves Buffy, but no. I just don’t want them together. I am a huge B/A fan and I so want Buffy with Angel at the end. And why have her toy with Xander, if she is going to wind up with Angel in the end? Xander needs to get Anya back. Somehow. I love the Anya character, and would love to see her again. But if that doesn’t happen, then I would love to see him with one of the “new” slayers.
As for the “floating mystery man” - in that frame from Issue 1 - we see the boots and the coat - and it is SO Spike! But.....who says it can’t be Angel? I am trying to remember lines from Angel’s S5 “Damage” and “The Girl in Question” - Didn’t Angel know where Buffy was and was keeping it from Spike? Or not? I know Andrew implied to Angel in “Damage” that Buffy didn’t trust Angel, and as far as I know - she still didn’t know Spike was alive until AFTER TGIQ - IF Andrew even told her he saw him in Rome with Angel..... So much to find out. I cannot wait for more!
It feels so good to be discussing Buffy again!

Hey what if its the cheese man? What if it will be revealed how HE was the force orchestrating everything from getting Buffy to move to Sunnydale to... I don't know.
Still it'd be cool if it was the cheese man.

and the floating dude looked like Spike to me also. As for Angel's intel- this is half a year after NFA, I don't know that any info Angel gleaned from W&H would be applicable still- right? 18 months after Chosen= 6 months after NFA, yeah?
And I am hoping Buffy doesn't know about Spike, but she probably does.
OOh- I've been meaning to say I'd love to get a suggestion to DH to release the TPBs that collect Season 8 to match the DVD boxed sets, so we could display it as a bona fide season. (although as a Chosen Boxed set owner, I don't know how much good that would do me, as it would leave me having to rebuy the boxed sets, but I would if they would...)

I agree that Angel and Buffy are meant to be together. I would be very satisfied if the series ended that way - Angel's debt to society is paid in full, he fulfills the Shanshu Prophecy and is allowed to become human, Buffy gets to retire from being a slayer and live a normal life, and the two live happily ever after. It would be great if he were the floating man in Issue 1, and the one whose kiss awakens sleeping Buffy. I really hope it isn't Spike (or worse, Xander). The scene in Buffy's nightmare with her and Xander seems to suggest that if they were to get together, the consequences would be bad. I think it's one of Buffy's prophetic dreams giving her a warning. As for Amy's boyfriend being a rat demon - that would seem to make sense!

I think the giant rat would be funny.
As far as "the kiss," I hope to god it isn't Angel. I never really liked that relationship. It was such a destructive love that I don't think that it was right for either of them to be together. Same with Buffy and Spike, though I do like that relationship a little bit more. Perhaps he's the one who wakes her up and that's how she discovers that he's come back?! I really wouldn't mind Xander out of the three, but I worry how that would affect their dynamic. Plus he seems to have a thing for Dawn. I do hope that the Buffyverse ends with Buffy still as baking "cookie dough" where she never really chooses anyone. I think she's meant to be a loner.

Finally got mine today. It seemed longer than the first issue. I LOVED it. Glad to see Giles and Willow. Hopefully they do explore what happened to the well known potentials...I dont mind Rona at all. And Kennedy has really grown on me.
I hope Xander and Buffy never get together but it might be interesting. I am all about Buffy and Angel. I couldnt help but think that somehow Angel and Spike will have gotten together by the comment in the letters section...that would be something...haha, probably just my perverted mind.
More thoughts to come but Idol is on...gotta go

I read the second issue last night, and it was definitely a step up from the first issue. I really enjoyed it. For me at least, everything started to click during this issue. I was able to "hear" the actors' voices much better, and Buffy looked a lot more like SMG to me. The plot also seemed to be advancing quite nicely. It will be cool to see Willow and Amy square off. I'm really looking forward to the next issue.
My best guess as to the identity of Amy's boyfriend is also Rack. I'm not that confident though because I thought Willow killed him. Maybe she nearly killed him and left him disfigured. Who knows.
It's hard to tell what Buffy's dream sequence means at this point. It appears that Buffy is now somewhat attracted to Xander, but I can't make out much more than that. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I got issue#2 Monday and have read it about 5 times. I love it, what else can I say? It was better than the first and I suspect it will just keep getting better. I can see this thing being a storyboard for a big $100 million dollar movie (I'm dreaming aloud again). It is so nice having this to look forward to each month.

Maybe Faith has it. I read Issue 1 again and noticed the comment that Amy wants a weapons lab for her boyfriend. It made me wonder: would a rat demon be interested in something like this? So now I'm wondering if the boyfriend isn't something else.

She might even come to like that she doesn't have to settle down and remain cookie dough.

I just read Issue 2 and I absolutely LOVE IT! It was really good to see Giles, Willow and Andrew again. And I liked the way that they went from one person speaking to another. Giles to Buffy to Andrew. Xander and Amy interacting again was nice. And Amy not being able to leave because of the mystical security I didn't get because then how did she get in? Unless she used powerful magics more powerful than Buffy and Co. Also, I think something is gonna happen between Xander and the slayer Renee. She seems to like him and I saw some chemistry in both of these issues. Buffy's dream was great! When she asked Xander to come to bed with her and she starting kissing him I was like Did that just happen!?!? But then it was a dream, which was good with the demon and Buffy saying "I know you.." before being burnt alive by the demons fire breathing. Also, was it Amy who put Buffy to sleep with those nightmares with her magic? There isn't really any other explanation is there? The new slayers Leah, Renee, Satsu and Rowena are cool. Its nice to see some new characters introduced. Although, I hope we see the other slayers like Kennedy, Rona and Vi at some point. I have a feeling we'll see them when the Faith story starts. The big fight at the end was excellent! With all the zombies that Any had raised fighting the slayers, and Buffy seeing it all in her dream asking for it all to stop! And Amy thinks she's all mighty and powerful, but then along comes Willow with her quote "As a friend of mine once said, I'd like to test that theory". BRILLIANT! ;D I loved this issue so much! Its really nice to discuss Buffy again and speculate whats gonna happen next! I cannot wait for Issue #3!

It feels so good to see that someone else feels that way. I'm always reading Buffy-Angel this and Buffy-Spike that and then there's Riley...pleh. I think I just vomited. Yep, I did. Believe me, we are far from alone it just depends where you go. Some sites I've visited while big Spike and/or Angel fans don't want Buffy with them. I just don't like any of her relationships and prefer her when she is alone. I might like Xander and her though, you never know. I'm not really interested with the comic yet, I am excited about the Faith arc though.

I know this is a long shot but could Warren back? We know hes dead as the first took his form in lessons but stranger things have happened. Warren had a real grudge against buffy and with a weapons lab could make some interesting toys. I would like it if Amy and Warren were making a new skin for warren out of the surviours and demons under the crater, that would be a pretty cool reunion for the gang cos warren was nasty he did the worst thing ever, he killed tara.

That's an interesting theory. Having Warren confront Willow would make for some good story telling. He has an even bigger grudge against her than Buffy. Did Amy and Warren ever meet on the show?
I still wonder what the Buffy gang are doing in Scotland, when it seemed from the end of Chosen that the logical choice would be Cleveland. Maybe that's where Faith and some of the other junior slayers from Chosen went.
I hope that Kennedy and Willow aren't still together.
