Here is an In Progress look at My next drawing. This drawing features David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel from the Hit TV show "Bones" and is one of 4 new drawings that I am working on. This portrait is done from a season 3 promotion photo and only shows the top portion of the portraits, when finished the actor's full torsos will be shown. I am still undecided on what else to include (I will figure it out as I go along). I do know I want to keep it simple so I probably won't add a whole lot and just let the portraits speak for themselves. As always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated, so Please let me know what you think (good or bad) I am also working on a Private commission drawing for Robin (Illyrobin) as well as 2 other drawings... 1. is the 2nd drawing in my Buffy/ Angel "Essence" series this drawing will feature Amy Acker as Fred/ Illyria and will feature multiple portraits. 2.The other drawing that I am working on is a drawing of John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness from the BBC show "Torchwood" 3 the third is an updated drawing featuring Clark Kent and his cousin Kara from "Smallville" I will post in progress scans of these 3 soon ;D

Scotty Will this be availible when its done? If so, it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine lol Fantastic work so far I love Booths little upturned smirk, so typical of him and i love Temperences' stern but sexy look, she has a very unique face, but im sure you can pull it off. Remember, she has a very square jaw.
As for the background. I think it should be dirt, maybe with a hint of a skeleton or something. Definately have the logo somewhere though.
OR, cant remember if your a fan, but in season 2 onwards, the scenes of the show are transitioned with like a yellow/ white glow. so maybe you could incorperate that into it?
OR perhaps have a smaller sketch of them in each corner, which would look really cool, of Booth pointing his gun and Bones holding a skull or something?
OR as an easy alternative, and to frame the bottom of the piece, under Temperence, have a nice detailed drawing of a skull and under Booth have a gun and FBI badge, that would be really cool
Cant wait to see it done

Thanks everyone for all of the Awesome feedback, your kind words have truly made my day Thanks for all of the suggestions Wayne I really appreciate the feedback. so far I am a big fan of the show and have never missed an episode (LOL) I plan to do most of Temperance and Seeley's bodies (down to their lower thighs). I really like the outfits that they are both wearing and I think that they will help give the drawing the "Bones" unique iconic feel. I do like the idea of incorporating a partial skeleton or skull along the bottom border as well as some of the colors you suggested. I am planning on keeping the drawing fairly simple so as not to detract from the portraits. One thing I have noticed,...I never realized how much eyeliner that Temperance wears. I will have to render her eyes carefully so she don't end up looking like a racoon (LMAO) The Drawing will indeed be available when finished, if interested I know we can work something out Thanks again Scotty--

Thanks for all of the Awesome comments! I really mean a lot to me and Inspire me more than I can say ;D Here is an update for the "Bones" drawing. Here I have blocked in David Boreanaz's likeness and started laying out the background colors. David's portrait is far from finished but the basics are there...next I will block in Emily's likeness and then do some overall refinements so that the portraits will match. then I will start working on the outfits and the rest of the background layout. As always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated, so Please let me know what you think (good or bad)

Here is an update for the "Bones" drawing. In this scan I have blocked in Emily Deschanel's portrait and have started working on the background and the clothing. There is still a lot of work to do on the layout and some fine details to be added and worked out when the layout is completed. As always constructive comments and criticisms are always welcomed and appreciated so Please let me know what you think ;D

OH MY GOD! SCOTTY, YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF!!!!
I know this will sound over dramatic, but when I saw Emily Deschanel's picture colored in, I actually got tears in my eyes!
She looks so beautiful, so radiant, just mesmerizing! Just ... WOW!!!!
You've totally captured her, especially the eyes. She has such big, amazing eyes.
Of course, DB looks fabulous, too. I love the sparkle in his eyes. But I think he needs to look a little edgier with a thinner jaw to capture DB as Booth as opposed to how filled out his face was on Angel. Just a thought.
But they are both wonderful. Great job!

After a long break I have finally been able to continue work on the Bones drawing. Here I have worked on completing Emily Deschanel's portrait as well as her side of the background. I pondered quite a while on what I could add to the background that would enhance the drawing. I did try a few different things Skulls, Bones, Badges etc...but in the end I felt that in this case; less was more and I decided to keep it simple and let the portraits speak for themselves. I still have a few small details and highlights to add that will be done when I finish David Boreanaz's portrait as always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated so please let me know what you think (good or bad)

looking extremely good Scotty. I cant wait. My first ORIGINAL drawing from you Emily looks so real, her eyes are very well done One thing is bugging me on Davids face. His cheek/chin, next to Emily, seems a little....how can i say? Flabby? Anychance he could have a bit of a Nip/Tuck on that part? Cant wait to see it done Wayne

Wow .... what an amazing work !!! Temperence is PERFECT ! I just have a little problem with Botths nose, but it's just minor. Their face expression is excellent, and Temperence's pose is just typically her !

Wow. Just wow. That is seriously amazing.
They both look really great, it's just something is ever so slightly throwing off DB's likeness. I think it may be that has nose is too large, or that it is slightly too long and close to his mouth. I'm not sure but something is slightly off about his nose..
You are so talented, I'm very jealous!

Thanks for all of the awesome comments. Your constructive comments really mean a lot to me. I have been reevaluating David's face and I agree the likeness still needs a little adjusting. I am happy to say that David is undergoing a slight Nip/Tuck...LOL ...stay tuned Scotty--

The Bones drawing is now finished... In this scan I have finished David Boreanaz's portrait and the background. With David's portrait I went back and did some minor adjustments on the Jaw line and nose and blended some of the darker shadows on his face. As always I appreciate constructive comments and critisms so Please let me know what you think ;D
