I have no clue what to do lately. Today my best friend's aunt passed away from cancer, my other friend/co-worker has a friend who's in the hospital in critical condition and the same night that he went into the hospital her other friend commited suicide. I have no clue how I can console them. Please Hadley or anyone do you have any ideas?

Lacey, I'm so sorry my reply is late. I know you've had more days to think about this, and I'm sorry that I couldn't respond sooner. I think the best thing you can do is be there for them. Whenever they need a friend or someone to just cry with, you can be there. Listening to them, and offering suggestions is always helpful, plus, maybe taking them out to a fun dinner or a movie to get their mind off of it a little. Being an available and listening friend is one of the greatest gifts, and ways to console others, because it shows your support through the little things, and the big emotional things. Your friends will quickly realize that you are their backbone, and how great a person you are.
Let me know if you need to talk about this some more,
Hadley

Thanks so much for the advice Hadley, I've been comforting my friends and I think it might be helping a bit.
